Thanks for sharing important thoughts about how social media allows us to live in an echo chamber where no new info or thoughts that disagree with our pre-existing views get in. I think it’s important to listen to new/different ideas. I have to admit to, at one point, having a somewhat negative view of handgun shooters. But I had a friend who was a target (handgun) shooter, and tried to listen with an open mind. Now, here I am 30 years later with three handguns in the gun safe and watching Hickock 45.

I have been lucky enough to have been here from the start of the Sunday shoot a rounds. It is my favorite video of the week. I look forward to see what the Professor has to say this Sunday. Your the reason we are moving to Tennessee. I fell in love with your weather. I'm sitting up her in Illinois hell up to my armpits in snow watching the professor shooting in a light jacket we all know he is using a propane heater. I use the same one for my winter camping. Who am I kidding I'm not winter camping anymore. I did that when I was dumb and younger. The colder the better and the survival camping trips in scouts. I don't think I could have had any more fun as a kid. My dad was a real superhero. He was out there with my brother and I freezing his Chones off just to make us happy. Then there was the ice fishing. No wonder my dad brought everything but the kitchen sink camping. For me if it didn't fit in my backpack I didn't need it. My dad's rule was if it doesn't fit in the pickup truck we don't need it. He would bring a lot of crap camping. I just amused him and loaded it up. It's a 2 way street. I just liked to go minimalist that's why my AR-15 shoots many calibers. If I leave it set up for 5.56 then I can use my .22lr conversion kit for it and then I can shoot small game or I could set it up for 300 blackout and wish I had a suppressor and a SBR they are bad here in Illinois. Then I would have a good deer rifle or the .458 SOCOM and have a big ole fun gun to shoot. Don't know what I would do with that caliber but it's fun to use. I could use it to try 1000 yard shooting with it. I have great luck with my 45-70 and that's kinda why I built it because the 45-70 was my dad's favorite round. He had it in a revolver back in 1976 with his Phelps Heritage 45-70 revolver. That handgun would shut a range down because everyone wanted to check it out and try to shoot it. Most of the time he would but a little guy coming up to my dad and asking to shoot it was usually a no. My dad. Would ask you if you would like to try it and them most people would say yes. Back then it was the only company that I know of that offered a 45-70 revolver. Ok so this is way too long sorry. Happy Safe Shooting 🇺🇸💪.

Where I work, we sell honda generators, and I think they are great units, but for the casual user, the price is hard to justify. We own a dual fuel champion, I want to say its in the 3200 watt range, but I can't swear to it. It is an inverter unit, with electric start, runs our refrigerator and freezer without trouble. We enjoy it and it always starts. We have only ever used it on gas, but from what I have heard propane is just as good, just less watts.

Good morning Hickok45! Greetings again from the Sunday morning breakfast club at the Sportsmans Club. We are running late this morning because a big old oak tree decided to come down in the storm last night and block our driveway. Two John Deere farm tractors, several chain saws, a wood chipper, many fellow members, WAY too much unwanted advice , a few hours later, and we are back to watching your video at the club. It was nice to see the Model 29 out and getting some exercise. I'm one of those that enjoys shooting revolvers far more that semi autos. My dad took many a deer with his 29 and still loves to come out with us to show us what " raw American Firepower is like". I'm glad you are getting ready for fall and the weather getting more cool. We can always tell it's fall at the club because, as it gets cooler, our club President starts to put on his winter fat layer to prepare for hibernation. He also starts to hoard beef Jerky and trail mix in his 21 year old pickup truck in preparation of starting to " nest" for the winter. Anyway... have a great week Sir!

Your points on social media are 100 percent accurate. Social media ,with its algorithms, have created an echo chamber depending on a person's deposition. For example if your conservative it will show you conservative media only and same goes for liberal media. Websites like KZbin or Facebook do this to keep you coming back by curating your content. This is not a crime or anything to be mad about, but something we should be wary of. Great video!

Good morning-great coffee time chat. About generators- I have two 6500w portables on wheels and they have done well over 20 years of hurricanes in Central Florida. Have needed them every year. Also used in home repair business for 10 years-easy to throw in back of pick-up and power tools on job or around house. Have had to survive 3 weeks one year on generators. That was just first that year-had 3 more that knocked out power from 1 to 5 days. Would run one generator 5 hours on 5hours off and alternate between generators. Worked perfect. Don't underestimate needs. Takes nothing to run fridge and a couple lights but plug in the coffee pot , start frying the eggs and sausage in electric pan and pop down the toaster and listen to that generator wind up. As far as gas 5 gal will last 12 hours at medium use. I alternate generators so as to check oil and top off fuel. I know if one breaks I still have back-up. But just like guns I have always wanted more but this plan has served me well. There have been times when family needed 1 and it was easy to take them a spare. Thanks for being you

Beautiful firearm ... the only 44 Magnum I have fired is my brother's Taurus which is a nice firearm for that price range, has a ported barrel which is very nice. We were shooting canned goods and water jugs and man .... what a show! Was surprised to see the front of the cans blow outward like that. They looked like they were shot from the backside towards us .... was not expecting that much power. The soft hollow points was very impressive.

I bought Generator from Northern Tool about 15 years ago and it still works great. I did have to have the carburetor rebuilt once due to the fact that I let some unleaded gas sit in for too long. Northern usually has some very informed folks working there and have a good deal of knowledge. You are correct about Honda engines. I have a pressure washer with a Honda that I have has for about 10 years and still starts after the third pull. My generator is 4500 watt and I can run my refrigerator, well and an electric Fan and some lights. It is not large enugh to rung the electric stove or Heat pump, but it all depends on your needs.

i've learned with generators that if you want high output but only last's a few seasons then get a cheap brand or go middle of the road with everlast, but if you want long term performance with a slightly lower output then go miller, generac, cat, or honda...my everlast welders and generators out/perform those big box brands any day of the week. also diesel is alway's better if you can get it
