Congratulations! You might be a "redneck" or a real "gun nut" if you do what I did when John was born. I left the hospital late in the morning and bought him the Remington pump action rifle in .22 LR. He still has it, of course, at age 35. I thought it would be cool to get him a real birthday present, one that was bought on his actual birth day. :-) I've talked about this in videos with that rifle. Remington Model 572.

I love my Ruger Mark IV Hunter which I use for precision pistol matches. Awesome pistol, easy to clean! Anything before the Mark IV is difficult to clean. I’ve changed the trigger to the Volquartsen Accurizer, and have a Bushnell optics. Wow this is precise! I was glad to see you having the Lite. Here in Massachusetts, that gun is not allowed. Also, in Massachusetts, they’re trying to modernize the firearms law, which will make all LTC carriers close to being felons. With the modifications that I made on gun, this will be a problem. Mind you, these new laws do nothing with respect to criminals who don’t follow laws. I may have to move to Tennessee, or stand up and fight.

Good Sunday morning, in central Mi in peak leaf color change season. Never owned a mark 4, only ruger’s that I own are a lcp max and security 380. Both are a lot of fun and dependable. During the ammo price gouge of summer 2021 (45 acp $860 per thousand, 9mm $660 per 1000 bulk), I purchased a cz kadet for my shadow 2 and a Taurus TX-22 and bulk 22lr to have range fun less expensively. The Taurus has been dependable and very fun thru 2000 rounds. The cz kadet does not see much range time due to 9mm is more fun to shoot out of it..

I've also spent 20-30 minutes trying to reassemble it and have found if it doesn't go together right away, just walk away for a while and come back to put it together later, it usually goes right back together rather quickly.

When Ruger started producing the MarkIV they found that if the safety was placed 1/2 way between Safety and fire they pulled the triger then moved the saftey to fire some of the gun would go off. they made a change to fix this problem and changed the serial no.s to stare with 500. Pre 500s are subject to a recall. Check with Ruger to be sure.

But, they liked to call me up to the blackboard to answer a question they asked. My answer was always "uhhhhh what's the question". The other kids would laugh and the teacher just had me sit back down. There was one sixth grade English teacher I got along with. I wrote a book report about the S&W model 29. He came over and told me about the Dan Wesson 357mag he had. I thought he was cool and never gave him a problem after that. Only class I got good grades in.
