I’m from WNC and I watch you very often. Thanks so much for the reminder about the disaster we are still going through. This will take years to recover but we are mountain people and we will come out of this terrible event. The water system is still not back to normal, roads and buildings will take time. I enjoy your videos and you are correct about being ready. One thing was people are counting on is debit cards which was useless, always keep cash on hand if you can because without the internet credit and debit cards would not work.

That is good advice, Keep what you can in a safe place and if you need to leave your house grab the cash and firearms. Our local sheriff in the eastern part of NC was taking donations to your area within days when we were aware of the damage done. We made 2 drop offs of nonperishable food and drinking water to the sheriff's office for transport.

I picked up one of those MK924s for a song a couple of months ago and she may be heavy but she is a shooter. I've only run 1,000 rounds thru her so far but I've yet to experience any issues. Life is Good!

Hello , don’t worry about the brass end won’t effect anything it will just stay in tank, will never get picked up by fuel pump; it has a big strainer on pump- been a mechanic for 40 years

Hey Hickok, I'm a retired mechanic and knew what you were going to say when you started your gas can story, don't worry the gas can tip can't get passed the fuel pump filter. it won't cause any issues laying in the tank.

Good morning! Regarding what you said about gun safety, I knew someone who told me 'All accidents happen with an "unloaded" gun.'

That's common advice about gun safety. Sounds silly, but it does underline what I'm talking about. So many negligent discharges are due to our just "knowing" the gun is "unloaded." It comes down to that wise old line from Mark Twain: "It ain't what we don't know that gets us into trouble; it's what we know for sure that ain't so." Something like that.

Bought an M9 around 2009 for $400. Great gun. Runs like a hose and is very accurate, just like the ones I shot in the Army.

Carried the M9 beretta in the Air Force. Wanted a 92FS just because I have so much experience with the M9. In 2022 a guy was selling a pretty much new beretta 92fs for $300 because he was getting out of private security. $300. I couldn’t get the money out fast enough. It’s a good firearm. Happy to have an actual beretta. The Taurus PT92 or this Rock Island version might be a good option like you said for those not wanting to spend the $600-$700 for an actual beretta 92fs for target shooting.

As someone now in their late twenties, I didn’t have a smartphone until I was an adult. As a little kid I learned how to use an atlas while trucking with my uncle. Now I find myself deleting social media profiles and enjoying quiet solitude, without gluing my face to my phone or computer or hearing music, whether it’s on the radio or on my phone. There isn’t even a television in my house. I’m just old enough to remember what it was like without our society being completely dependent upon social media and electronics. Those days were far superior to today. I hope we turn away from social media as a society soon.

Good morning, last to do before I head overseas to Australia. Question, anyone here into building their own stuff. I built a Hawken plains rifle many years ago and now I ordered a flint lock set from Kiblers, these kits are very easy to put together and should not take more than a few days. Maybe a good idea for Hickock45, ''how easy is it to put a woodsman rifle together for a novice gun builder'' these don't come cheap though, around $1500 pending the quality of the wood. Had to fix several 5 gal gas spouts also. We’re almost nonfunctional in fueling up our jet skis There are 3 magnetic metals. Iron, Nickel, and cobalt.

My MK924 (got it for $300) doesn’t like 115 grain ammo. I get 1 or 2 failures to extract in every magazine with it. I tried 125 grain ammo and it ran flawlessly.

Ah, the familiar tic-tac-toe sound of my 1972 .357 Blackhawk! In the 1980's, South Africa, under strict arms embargo, reverse engineered the Beretta 92, designating it the Z88. The late Peter Kokalis of SoF magazine visited the factory and declared the Z88 to be the equal of the Italian made pistol and superior to most other versions due to careful heat treating of barrels. SA had to eventually pay royalties to Beretta.

In reference to your gas can nozzle problem. Some trucks have a manual filing device included with the vehicle. My Ford F150 pickup has a plastic nozzle behind the back seat. I always take it out and put it in the gas receptacle when I want to pour some gas into my truck from a gas can. The device pushes the little flapper out of the way. Maybe your Yukon has one also.

I think I have one of those in the boot in the back. I just thought this nozzle was small enough that I would not need it. Actually, that's what I thought I was doing, checking to see if I'd need a funnel with this nozzle. The 3/8" gas can nozzle was small enough to get down in there, but the edge of that brass end cap was hanging up, probably on that second flip-up seal I was not aware of. A smooth nozzle would not be a problem, of course, just like a gas pump nozzle.

That is correct. Every new vehicle comes with the plastic spout. It’s black. It’s usually in your glove compartment. That’s what you use when you use gas cans.
