I love how you laugh at the absurdity of how serious we take ourselves, how we believe our thoughts and beliefs are so important. ❤

You summarized Angelo’s book and the nonduality message SO eloquently in 11 minutes flat! Super impressive! 🤸🏻♂️🐇☯️👏

I learn about myself when I’m outside and I see hungry homeless people hanging around coffee shops, injured and hungry homeless cats, dogs, and other animals in need. I never learned anything by meditating, a waste of time, I’d rather go outside and be mindful of the suffering out there and real needs.

Is it possible to have a discussion with Vinay about the scientific evidence of meditation in one episode?

Great talk Z! I resonate a lot with you in those post retreat reactivity experiences... felt very uncomfortable at first (confusion, doubt, shame... there you go!) Which gets even worse when ppl around you (spouse, children, friends) question the benefits of meditations and retreats based on your failure to keep calm and centered... such a relief to hear Angelo and other people addressing the normalcy of that, as well as how common it is to experience it! We're all riding this samsara roller-coaster together, and it's perfect just the way it is! PS. So glad you're enjoying the "Elephant book" of poetry (forgot the title too!) and poetry in general... I never really appreciated poetry until Asilomar... now I'm a fan!

The retreat location in N Carolina is about 15 miles from my house. It is a beautiful area and that is why I live there. It is perfect for meditation (except for an over abundance of deer and wild Turkey)

I just love you! I would love to be part of one of these retreats. I'm sharing, and hope this resonates with my adult children (if not now, later).

It used to be that catching my keys on a doorknob was a frustration that felt almost like an attack on me. Now when it happens I smile and get the thought of "oh its trying to play with me"

Ur progressive clarity is amazing to witness. Ur words are powerful 💜 I was curious if you have explored physical touch lately? U once mentioned a bit of an energetic block that made the idea of physical touch (massage) uncomfortable… Hot Stone massage to explore resistance? ;)
@ZDoggMD2 жыл бұрын
Hey there wonderful!! Not so much touch directly yet, but lots of body meditation and dropping into the body sense which has been really helpful. You are absolutely right as this is a direction I feel would be very helpful.

So you numb those feelings, and they don’t come to the surface until you have cleared away and seen the knowledge that we aren’t a self?

Caryn, thoughts and emotions, just arise. Just as seeing and hearing take no effort. It’s the non-attachment , clasping and grasping that subsides. Peace

Thank you for this video. I tried searching for the poetry book you mentioned “Poetry on mindfulness…” with the elephant atop a teacup on the cover, and could not find it. Would you, or someone, please tell me the full title and author? Thank you!
