Thank you for sharing this. "Karmanye Vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadhachana. That phrase derives from The Bhagavad Gita. The direct translation is - "Perform your duty but do not have any expectation of the fruits". Faith is a downward journey in letting go of desire, judgement, anger, ego. Surrender to the supreme because nothing is in your control. The sense of control is only an illusion "a maya". Your life, death, illness are not in your control. All your thoughts are only subjective, also an illusion.

ISKCON calls this "Living in Krishna consciousness". Traditionally, monks renounced material life and dedicated years of their life to learning self-realization in monasteries. We are trying to learn this amongst the triggers of everyday life, especially as doctors where our egos are hyped to believe that we are saviors. Yet in all honesty, we have no control on patient's outcomes (That is predetermined by many other forces). We just have to do our duty to use the knowledge we have learned through our training and use it to the best of our ability to serve our patients.

For me, Faith and Doubt are the choices Im faced with daily, will I Trust, Faith, that reality will sustain me or not, Doubt, its a choice, freedom.....I dont know about determination, perhaps thats the daily decision to Trust. I also believe the decision not to trust leads to Nihilism.

Thank you so much for your upload and time as always!!!^^ Just wanted to contribute to the discussion about reincarnation, based off my research on the topic, there is actual scientific data on the issue. There is a doctor in VA that has studied various cases of children that have memories of previous lives, including specifics that would otherwise be impossible. If you have the time, I recommend looking into him and his cases!^^
