I am against sunscreen. I feel the internet talks a lot of shit. I rarely went out in the sun and my body acne has gotten worse. Today I am going in the sun for 60 minutes. 30 on 1 side 30 on the other. That is my regimine. I have tried every body wash and nothing has worked at all. Idk if its my daily habits or its me taking lots of showers idk.

Damn, its a pretty big coincidence that you put this video out now, but I have been on vacation in Europe for the past two weeks. Before going, I was super worried that the sun would screw up my progress, but it actually helped a lot - my skin flakes are going away, my skin tone improved also. I still try to avoid too much sun during peak hours (12pm - 2pm), but I've gotten more sun in the past two weeks than I've probably gotten in two years, haha. I've always had pretty good Vit. D levels, but never from the sun - just from supplementation (always used sunscreen before starting caveman regimen and made sure that I avoided staying out too long when the sun was out). Gonna make sure to keep getting sun exposure in the next few weeks - I'll keep you guys posted. Also, an FYI for anyone reading this - about 70% of the U.S. population is insufficient in Vitamin D. Go get tested because there's a pretty good chance that you're in this group. The sweet spot for Vitamin D levels is between 30 - 80 ng/mL.
@stepherssays7 жыл бұрын
I just bought some Vitamin D online and can't wait until they get here. I also went to Europe for 2 weeks less than a month ago, and you got me thinking. I was stressing out because my acne has been very bad lately, and I wanted to be able to take some nice photos while on vacation. We were out a lot (of course) and my face was doing pretty good. I assumed that maybe it was because I was stress-free and just happy I was over there. When I got back, my acne went back to way it was, and probably worse. Before I went on vacation, I got blood work done and my doctor said everything was perfect EXCEPT I was low on Vitamin D. After doing some research and watching videos on YT it clicked that it most likely is the lack of Vitamin D causing this horrible acne. I can't wait to start using it and hoping my skin clears up. I'm 30 years old and this acne is driving me fucking insane.

You know it's so interesting that lot of doctors and dermos will say that the sun doesn't actually help acne. The reason why it may appear to be helping is because its darkening the skin and the acne looks less visible. From my experience laying out by the pool, the next few days I've seen my acne improve just a little, nothing tremendous but I wasn't being in the sun often. Thanks for makin this video, I'm def gonna take a little time each day and get some sun even if it's a jog or workout.

100% correct sir. As long as I get sufficient sun like in the summers I have 0 acne anywhere. When I never see the sun I have constant breakouts on forehead and shoulders/chest/back. Not cystic but inflamed and painful. Tried multiple different ‘diets’ but concluded diet is not my issue. Sunlight also gets rid of my acne scars so for anyone who’s losing hope, try sunlight and see what it does for you because its everything for me.

Moisturizers break me out too. I live in cold dry NY so I get it.. Try cold water on your face,, if your face feels super tight you don’t even need to put water on your face at all. Just make sure no hair products touch your face.. be careful with gel and hair pomades they can cause pomade acne.. give it time, it’ll regulate itself eventually, usually a few months depending on how your skin is to start

You can use a wet microfiber cloth to gently exfoliate.. microfiber is antibacterial and cleans oil and dirt as well.
