Bram, glad to see you back. I do wish you would show the start because can't make out colors and placement because of black canvas even if you put it on a speed entrance. I always end up watching first before I lay colors to get idea of where you placed them. when I do one of your painting I always enjoy watching your process. Keep adding videos. Also, you should consider a patron account I would be willing to subscribe and gladly pay the fee.

Bram! Another fantastic painting! I need your help- how do you prep the canvas? I assume its a black gesso canvas-my question is: Did you put the colors on first, then the oil? Or the oil on first, the the colors? Will definitely give this one a try! Thanks as always! Love this channel!!
@paintwithbram2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you always put the gesso on and let it dry then put the oil on top of the gesso.
@KarlEBrand2 жыл бұрын
@@paintwithbram Thanks! Then the colors over the oil?
@paintwithbram2 жыл бұрын
@@KarlEBrand Yes, gesso (let it dry), then a clear medium (liquid clear, linseed oil, etc.), then the oil colors.

Liquid clear is the medium? Then put the paint on the black canvas?
@paintwithbram Жыл бұрын
Yes, or you can use linseed oil. Always medium then your colors. Or, you could do it like the wild haired man on TV did for the first few years. He only applied the oil color to a black canvas until LC was invented.

Quick question Bram, does Liquin and Linseed Oil basically work the same way? -Also wondering if you prefer Liquin to use instead of Linseed Oil?
@paintwithbram2 жыл бұрын
Liquin has a drying agent in it so the painting dries faster. I like that because I won't have lots of wet paintings lying around.
