This would have been even better if the pro-life dad was picking up his wife’s prenatal vitamin. Thyroid medication is common but it’s not super relatable since most women don’t need it - and it feeds the narrative that pregnancy is an illness. (prenatal vitamins are free in many areas. With cost savings plans in other areas. I believe the free ones are Rx only to make sure only pregnant women get them. But they are free.)

Wouldn't it make more sense to pick up Misoprostol too? Since when is Mifepristone alone used for chemical abortion without being followed up with Misoprostol? A chemical abortion uses Mifepristone and Misoprostol.

@@susanneberry236 I get that, but Mifepristone isn't that widely available in the first place (in other words, this is a bit unrealistic). Most pharmacies don't carry it (and it's really expensive, I doubt they would be receiving brand name like in the video). And there is no medication abortion that involves taking Mifepristone without also following up with Misoprostol 24-48 hours; that's really misleading on LA's end. It is however, possible to take just Misoprostol only and have a abortion, which is my point -- in fact if you were to take just one for an abortion, Misoprostol is more of an abortifacient.

No, it didn't fly over your head. He said, she said "We can raise this baby together" and he essentially said "Nah fam". He was totally manipulative (crying included). Just like this ad. Besides the bad acting, it's a lot of wrong information this "ad" is trying to pass along as factual, like "oh man, those are pills to kill a baby!" (The term "baby" applies to newborns...fresh out the cooch beings.) And by the way, plenty of people take various "abortion" pills to help with other treatments such as Mifepristone for high blood sugar (diabetes) in people with Cushing's Syndrome. It's a pain to get medication for certain conditions( like Cushing's and it's an even bigger pain to get correctly diagnosed), it would be ludicrous to ban popular, convenient drug stores from selling necessary medication all because a small group of non-medical professionals think the majority of people shouldn't have access to them (I hate seafood. Imagine if I said, "Hey! Seafoods nasty and can raise your cholesterol and my religion says you shouldn't eat it, so ban it for everybody!"). Everyone should have the right to choose at the end of the day and be given factual information to make a free choice.

Or amputations for burn victims vs healthy limbs. Its her body, it’s her decision. Having options available to her is her right, stop taking away her autonomy. This commercial is trying to take away some women’s last remaining way of getting an abortion thanks to the corrupt supreme court overturning years of precedent. You cannot force someone to do what you want, and you cannot force your religious views on others. If you really want to reduce abortions then focus on sex education, and increasing access to contraception.

If someone wants to abandon their born child to die is the law "forcing" them to bring the child to a safe haven (or "forcing" them to wait with the child until CPS arrives etc) or is the law TELLING someone to BE RESPONSIBLE and ensure the safety of their child? I am stating the fact that the best way to reduce the number of abortions is to increase sex ed and access to contraception. Also a clump of cells that is not viable outside the womb has no rights or choice. HER BODY is affected by the pregnancy, and she has the right to chose. You may not like it, but that’s freedom. No one wants to “kill babies”, and in my mind reasonable restrictions should be created when later in the pregnancy. But I’m sorry, a fetus is not a baby. Until that clump of cells is viable outside the womb it is not a baby. This whole abortion push is nothing more than one more way for republicans to try and control women and push an unwanted Christian agenda on the rest of us. If you’re against abortions, fine. Don’t get one. But don’t tell someone else what they can do with their bodies because you don’t like it 🙄
