Cass, I stumbled across your videos a couple of weeks ago. You are changing my life! I was recently referred for an ADHD diagnosis and I’ve been really struggling with it. I lack motivation, and am soooooo all or nothing. My house was a STATE(!) but now I’m so proud of everything I’m achieving. While listening to this I cleaned my living room, cleaned and lightly declutterred the toy room, cleaned our toilet, drank water & high fived myself 😂 I’ve never achieved so much. Also - the Sunday basket - wow. Game changer. Thanks so much! I wish I could have you over for a cup of tea to show you all the things I’ve done! Big love 🇬🇧🩷

I will be completely honest here .... I was SO neat, tidy, organised and in control of my things as a teenager and my home as a young adult. Now I am 56 and have been struggling for the last 6 years to get my life back after it shattered in 2018. This is a kick up the bum I needed. Thank you Cas. xxx

I was like this too until I met by ex husband in 2005 and then I had 2 girls and it all has gone wrong. Everything Cass says is me, I think im a huge failure in all sorts in my life. So trying to do self love and just do 5 mins is really helping

Since then I’ve had to purge lots… and did. But not enough. Now, remarried… I need to declutter the old me… a move forward in my new life. I hope you’ve moved forward in your journey too…

My mother-n-law died back in 2013. I bagged up ALL her belongings that she had everywhere in the house, and I piled the bags up at one end of my closet. For the last 2 weeks I have been pulling her stuff out of my space because I mostly don't want it. I wanted my closet all to myself. In the process of clearing out her clutter, I found out that my husband and I have 24 different types of luggage. OMG... Really!!! Who needs a suitcase?

I remember when I first started my decluttering journey, I saw one of your videos that said to start with useless cardboard boxes. I didn’t realize until I went though all my boxes that I literally had 7 vacuum cleaner boxes that I had for the last 2 decades saved up. What did I plan to do, return one of the 6 vacuums I not longer had? Crazy. After getting rid of useless boxes alone I managed to clear up so much space. Now I keep the boxes for absolutely nothing , unless it’s for something expensive like a computer monitor that I’ll keep for a month max in case it breaks and needs to be returned. My spare rooms went from looking like an episode of Hoarders to looking like normal rooms with that one top alone. I feel like I’m literally clutter blind and until I hear people like you state the obvious, I don’t see it.

It's raining and I have unloaded my car from yesterday. On Thursday, I finished my dishes and laundry, and I was running out of gas. But, I had one more thing to do, which was sweeping the floors. I did it, and it made my house look SO much better. Now I have a few things from shopping to put away, and I figured out where to put them while listening to this video. My next step is rounding up the boxes of pictures and papers to sort and toss. If I have them all in one room, I can see how many I have. Then, I plan to do ONE box every day until it is done. I know half of the pictures can go because they're "twin prints." The drugstores used to develop film and make two copies of each image, so you kept one and shared one. The newspapers will go because I can borrow digital copies for the articles I want and download them. There are a few newspapers I will keep and store in pizza boxes. I know it's crazy, but it works. Thank you for your videos. I hope they're not worn out because I watch them so much.

Ah, Cas, you are such a blessing to those of us who listen to you. Seeing the picture you posted for this podcast brought me such joy, even before I listened to it, that I saved it as the lock screen on my phone. I need that tough love. I also need that someone to tell me I am awesome. Even at 56 years old I struggle with that self-love and self-trust portion of things, although I am getting better at the self-trust as I exercise my decluttering muscle. Trying to declutter two houses right now in order to sell: my old one (deadline midAugust) and my mother's (deadline Sept. 2) as she has decided to move to senior living. I am exhausted, but getting up and doing it every day. This podcast was exactly what I needed to hear and see yesterday. Cass is there a photo somewhere of your labeled boxes? I love the visual organization there!

Every 0.1of a mile I walk is 0.1 closer yo my yearly goal. Some years I've gotten to the goal and other years I passed it and last year I was a smidge short. I am proud of all I've done and am doing!!😊

So, I lost my first son in 2021, he died of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome & it made me lose myself. It figuratively crippled me. Now that it is 2025, I am rewatching this to slowly work on myself a little bit at a time. Before I was carelessly making purchases to soothe the loss that cannot be replaced. Now I’m working on peace of mind. Thanks from Ohio.
