Yup :-) the bathroom which lead to my master closet in my build was from tiny house designs that waste no space and have no unnecessary hallways :-) I am waiting on a quote right now for my next build after which I will decide if I want a loft in the new build or not. The idea for this little cabin is to have the master bedroom downstairs so you don't have to climb to go to sleep. The size will be 16 by 28 if you are curious (448 square feet) not tiny but almost. Don't tell Bryce I'm taking ideas from his videos lol! @@wilmaknickersfit

Tobias I’ve absolutely had the same thought, and I totally agree that out of all of them so far, this might be the one that resembles what I would want most. These talented guys have both a great sense of taste in the architecture of living space and harmony with nature. Wow, dream to have such a cozy and functional tiny house here in Siberia. Alas, winter in Russia lasts usually for about five-six months a year, and the warm summertime is approx. three months a year. Frosts in January here often reach up to -30 -40 by Celsius, so we need to pay a lot of attention to the insulation of the houses. Thanks for the vid, Bryce.
@livingbig5 жыл бұрын
That's an interesting design challenge. Maybe look at some of the designs which are being built in Canada, where the temperatures can also get really cold. I think in the end it would be all about great insulation, great heating and being able to keep all the plumbing within the enclosed envelope of the home. Would love to see some Siberian tiny houses! I've always wanted to go there.
@TrevAndDust5 жыл бұрын
I live in Canada, we experience the same kind of temps as you do. The most important thing is making sure the ceiling and floor are well insulated. Most people focus on the walls and forget that heat escapes very easily through the ceiling and floor as well. Having wood heat is also ideal, as wood can put out a lot of heat. In fact, in the colder parts of the world it may even be a good idea to get a wood stove that’s slightly bigger then the space demands. That way, if the temps dip into that -40 and below range, you can load the stove up and stay toasty warm. From a design perspective, I think it’s also important when designing tiny homes for a cold climate to pay close attention to the layout. The cold forces people to be inside for long periods of time, so I think it’s important to have a few different “spaces” in the house so people don’t feel stuck in 1 spot for months. I love that this house has the sitting area, bedroom, loft, and kitchen table. That would be perfect if you were stuck inside in the worst parts of winter.
@serhions5 жыл бұрын
@@TrevAndDust Thank you for your comment. We are on different continents, our climate is about the same. Now it's March-a month, but by my Siberian standards it is still a winter month. There is still snow and temperatures below zero on Celsius (sorry, don't know how much it is in Fahrenheit). Nevertheless, I always study with huge interest the latest canadian technologies in private house construction. You did a great job. Here in n Russia, heat-saving technologies for the construction of tiny houses are still very far from the perfection. : )
@TrevAndDust5 жыл бұрын
@@serhions It's amazing that we live on different continents, but our weather is similar! We still have several feet of snow here, and our temperatures are around -15 Celsius. But, it's finally starting to warm up :) Even where I live, tiny houses are still seen as strange. Most people here think anyone who wants to live in a small house is crazy. But, I think it's crazy to have a big house that costs too much money.

Such a beautiful house! You can really see how good design can make a difference. Love the loft!! The only thing I would change if it were mine is I'd swap the two lofts, to have the bedroom in the more "secluded" bit. I can see their current bedroom as being a great movie room / office ^^
@est9949 Жыл бұрын
That's my plan too. As I'm not really into big screen entertainment but work from home often, I need an open space for an office. I'm gonna use the inner loft for a bedroom and make the outer one into an office. If it could fit an L desk that overlooks the high-ceiling first floor living area, as well as the front window view that would be the best tiny house office in my mind.

I love all the little decorative elements - the bird lampshade downstairs. the bird clock and the bird shaped hook in the kitchen. Especially love the animal masks in the theatre room!!

Every tiny house reflects its owners' passions and projects - focusing on how it completes their needs so they feel at ease and content. The movie nest is awesome - I'm not entirely sure if it's better than the lofted movie room a few episodes back,with the red couch? Both are ideal for their owners. I liked her interior design touches.

What an inspirational couple, who seem genuinely happy and very in love with each other. Great video imo. Umm, great Tiny House as well, though kind of expected from an architect and former interior designer.

in addition to what everybody said about this beautiful couple, i love that his girlfriend was in charge of the building while he was away working and his masculinity is still in tact.

That's cave man thinking and this is for Tiny Homes not tiny minds. I know many happy couples who do won't allow gender stereotypes define or limit themselves. With respect to you and each his own, best wishes to all. Very nice house at 55,000 as well, thanks to everyone constructively involved !!!

Totes agree! He was clearly very proud of how smart & capable his girlfriend was. It was clear that he loved her even more because of that. And her take charge skills & attitude are very attractive. She's my new spirit-boss-animal!

He's a hipster, there is no masculinity involved so none to loose.

Uh, yeah but he didn't hesitate to say, "Had to keep working to fund this..." As if he really would have preferred hanging out with his wife and her father for months. Ahem. I don't know what all of you watchers are seeing. These ppl are hōhā AF.

So good seeing a lovely young lady building a house and her man being okay with letting her take charge. I'm not sure why but the NZ women I've met just seem to be really confident and capable. This video shows this off really well. Great video Bryce keep them coming.

Erin and Jake, fantastic home! I would have made the second loft into a creative space for creating my leather work, but I also don't watch that much television! But you've inspired me! 😎 Bryce and Rasa! My good friends! You're still killing it on KZbin and your channel! 🤩 Great job all around as always! 🤗 🖤🦇

@@livingbig you make a good argument for a television, but with your television in the United States and your television in New Zealand, I think you've got enough for two or three people, so I'm good! 😅 But I really think you're going to like what I'm dreaming up! 😄 🖤🦇

She just dominated the whole building process. Also, out of all the uploaded videos in this channel, this one is my favorite. No wasted space in a small build. Folding dining table can be improved though because the hooking setup may cause a bit of balancing issues, can be replaced with foldable legs. You can also add extras under the stairs such as a private area for changing clothes etc.
