Looks like a Chrysler S series Valiant from Australia, it has to be the same? Love wagons! Same motor, slant 6. My old man owned a few car yards, every year at this time he would get an old car drain the water and the oil, start them up and bet how long it would last. The slant 6 holds the record, 5 days!

@ People thought I was crazy to hop-up the 250 in-line 6 in my Nova back in the late 80’s. Offenhauser aluminum intake, .475”I/.502”E lift Crane cam, Holley 390 4-bbl and a set of dual, 3-into-one Hooker headers. Sounded like a big block at idle.

In the mid 1960’s my mother had a four door Coronet with the slant six. (Not a Coronet 500, just the bottom of the line, vinyl upholstery, no floor mats, AM radio version, as used by NYC taxis and police cars of the time.) one day when I was about 12 I tried to set the points, but the distributor, on the right side of the engine, was on the underside of the leaning-over block. The distributor cap was right next to the inner fender well. I could either just barely see the points, or put a screwdriver on the them, but not see around my hand holding the tool. I snapped the cap back on and forgot about the whole thing. That car ran for many years with no regular maintenance, NONE, parked outside the whole time. The paint oxidized to matte tan but surprisingly, it didn’t rust even with all the salt NYC dumped on the roads all winter. It finally left us when a drunk driver slammed against broadside while it was parked, empty, at a curb. The wheels hit the curb, bent the front suspension and twisted the unibody. Good old Mom replaced it with a top of the line AMC Gremin X with Levi’s denim interior. Go Mom!

I owned a 225 slant six dart back in High School and drag raced it stock, minus the dryer duct my dad and I thought of to use more power. Never in over 25 years or so would I expect to see this...screw the other Mopar rebuilds, this one was amazing to see people believe in what the leaning of Tower of power can do!!❤

Its a sad state of affairs when Redline Rebuild gets the short end of the stick on the hagered channel. Interesting that it started with Snowball's race car. (Which deserved a way better finale than it got). Like the commenter below, redline rebuild and barn find hunter are the reason I subscribed to hagerty. If I were to judge redline views to the other channels hagerty puts out, it should be at the top of the list every week right next to barn find hunter!!! Oh sure the time lapse videos are nice and all, BUT!, most of us know how turn wrenches and use calipers and enjoy watching and listening to someone else that does. Davin is the man for 'that' job. And as for driving videos, YAWN... I never watch them. You folks that control hagerty channel need to get with it and get some 'real' work done in that Redline Rebuild shop.
