YEEEEES!! I'm a huge fan of Naval history and World of warships. Really hope you will do more of these ships!
@generaljemssmjem4374 жыл бұрын
its amazing to see, that the hull number sticker that you guys used is DD-537, famous USS Sullivans, the famous Fletcher-class destroyer, named for the famous Sullivan brothers

Theres something about the Fletcher Ive always loved, it definitely has this scrappy under dog character to it that I can never quite pin down.

My pick is the USS Kidd! My parents worked as tour guides and met from that job so I kind of owe my life to that ship! Great build and love your knowledge of the vessel (even if its not the Kidd.)

The amount of genius detail at such a small scale is incredibly brilliant!!! Well done!!! PS: I'd also like to see ancient Greek or Roman ships at minifigure scale.

try this company called COBI. they are like the polish version of lego and make great builds, including the Bismarck and tirpitz. lego and cobi are compatible, and you can find them on amazon

Very excited because I am about to purchase the instructions for the X-wing, Y-wing, and ARC-170. I am very excited to add these builds to my LEGO StarWars collection! Been watching y’all since the beginning. I only wish I had a group of friends to build with like you guys do! Always keep up the good work🙌

I bought the instructions last week and rebuilt the entire model in Studio Designer. I made modifications to the bridge to make it a square bridge like the Johnston and the Kidd. I have a few other small modifications to make it similar to 557 & 661. I'm then going to buy the parts and begin. Let ke know if anyone is interested in seeing it.

I hope this is just the start of the 1/200 scale WW2 navy builds... well my wallet doesn't, but i do.
@LevelCapGaming5 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I'd like to build more, but I'm trying to figure out which one to do next. Battleships get VERY big at 1:200 scale so I'm not sure how many people would actually build something like that.
@misot905 жыл бұрын
@@LevelCapGaming If going by BBs, the Yamato class, Iowa class, Queen Elizabeth class (Warspite) and Bismarck class would probably be the most popular. For aircraft carriers, the Yorktown class, especially CV-6 Enterprise would be very popular. Along with the Essex class, Shokaku class, and Kaga and Akagi would be very popular in Asia.

Ah, the intro clips are of destroyer escorts, rather than fleet destroyers. The Fletcher was a class of fleet destroyers.

um correction, some of the historical footage is actually showing a destroyer escort, from footage of either an Evarts, Buckley or Cannon class of Destroyer escorts, and these two are completely different ships, in every way

The Sullivans was a square bridge Fletcher, and there's an angular walk way around the front of the bridge (so that aircraft could be observed on any bearing). The round bridge is more appropriate for the earlier Fletchers.
