@rctjacksonvilleКүн бұрын
Believe it or not, the profit is less than when the truck was sold at 70K. Every part in the truck cost more to produce due to rising steel, rubber, plastic and cooper cost, higher energy cost to run the plant, health care cost, worker salaries to offset inflation (Caused by you know who), microprocessor cost and shortages (Done to drive up cost which had been depressed for years by China until they drove every American company out of the market) and a ton of other inflation related issues. The dealerships also have to add more because their cost have gone nuts to operate as well. If, well, she gets in, you haven't even begun to see the economy grenade as it will.

Having spent 35+ years in the finance world I would beg to differ with you about interest rates being a major issue. Borrowing $60k @3.50% for 72 months = $925.10. At 6.50% = $1008.60. . I doubt someone buying a $70k -$85k truck would let the $83.50 stand in the way. The problem is that new trucks have skyrocketed in price. I thought paying $51k for my '21 F350 XLT was crazy vs paying $32k for the same basic truck in 2015. That was even more nuts than the $24k I paid for a fully loaded Lariat in 2004. I read the other day that the average payment on a F150 has now crossed $1k per month payment . Think what you have to gross per month to make that payment let alone food, & shelter.

I love the new Super Duty truck. I agree with the others that price is the limiting factor. Broncos are sitting. Wranglers are sitting, and so are many others. How about the Mavericks? I bet you can't hardly keep them. People want good, reliable, reasonably priced vehicles. As for Ford, I believe they made a mistake when dropping out of the passenger car sedan market and going all in on bigger, more expensive trucks and SUV's. I love cars, trucks, and Jeeps. I have owned over 75 vehicles in my 50 years of driving. My most recent purchases have been a 2006 Jeep Wrangler LJ and a 2007 Dodge 2500 4x4 with the 5.9.Cummins. Both were low mileage southern vehicles. Did I pay more than the average used car prices? I did, but a LOT less than the new Wrangler or truck. They work well without all of the expensive extras I don't need. And trust me; both of these are super nice with many extras. Thanks for the videos. I enjoy seeing what your custom shop does, but at those prices, I will only be dreaming about a new truck. I can afford one, but it seems like a bad choice.

As a brief example, one of your comments in a previous video about the new 2025 models trucks, you mention how Ford is making a lot of changes to make it easier to order, and how small of a price increase there is on the 25 model super duties. The fact is, Ford has substantially increased pricing and decreased their offerings. It just feels like you are very much cherry picking even more than you use to. If Ford and the other heavy duty truck manufacturers are pricing at $100k for their products, forcing people to push out to 72-84 month loans then they should have warranties equal in length to that. If other manufacturers can offer 10 year 100k warranties then the big 3 should lead by example and follow suit instead of offering 3 or 5 years as they do now. How much is Ford adding into the cost of new trucks to cover the amount of recall work they are having to do? They may be class leading in engine hp and tow ratings but they are also number 1 in recalls right now. For $100k you can choose from a vast selection of vehicles including luxury brands, you won’t be buying a heavy duty truck but you will get something with better build quality and a longer warranty. As a town and country customer I can say that they are one of the best dealership experiences you can have with fair open and honest pricing, without dealer markups, but right now the product itself is letting them down purely on a value for the money basis. If $80-100k is to be the ‘new norm’ for truck prices then they need to be built to last as long as it takes to pay for them. Folks would far rather have a set price they pay each month for the vehicle knowing there won’t be any extra costs if the def sensors, transmission, air con or any of the new electronics in there now go haywire. Including the first few years of oil changes would be a step in the right direction as well to give them a truly worry free ownership experience.

Msrp 95k invoice around 90k plus fees plus tax puts you around 98,500 minus 10k let’s says leaves you financing 88,500 for 84 months at 6.5 interest if you have great credit that’s $1,315 month plus insurance around $200 your at $1515 a month and haven’t even fueled you better come with a big down payment if you want to have a decent payment

LMAO you said $94,000 that's why they are stacking up on your lot. I am going to need a $20,000 rebate and 0% financing to make the payment less than mortgage. Until recently I have never owned anything but fords.

That's Good. Maybe now they make my F450...
@stephenfrost545Күн бұрын
Its because 100K @ 5.49% financing. lmao. Put 0% financing on them and they will fly off the lot. Heck, I'll trade my lifted 23 f150 lariat high with a whipple and methods in on one if you guys do 0% financing.

if its a diesel and has the s-4 fuel pump you couldnt give it to me
@rprzen209911 сағат бұрын
There is actually an inline filter kit available to protect the rest of the fuel system when it inevitably fails. Then do the S3 conversion. With all that said. There was a reason I shopped a superduty with a gas engine. I dont pull trailers for a living and had absolutely no need for a diesel that would eventually require $15,000 worth of fuel system repairs.

Trucks are sitting on lots because they're too damn expensive for the average middle class and interest rates are too high
@RustyShackle-v9uСағат бұрын
Supply and demand. No one is demanding a mortgage payment for a truck. I also feel Ford went backwards on there looks and quality compared to slightly older more affordable models.

I was gonna make a comment, but it seems like everybody else has a pretty well covered.

Sorry but the price is a big problem as well

Lower quality, less standard options, insanely higher prices, high interest rates, failing economy. There you go.

I was pushed out of this market over 15 years ago.

It’s a joke how high trucks are now and I’m a ford guy! I’ll tell everybody I’d rather push a Ford then drive a Chevy!

I wonder why????? Price, absolutely. Care of the enormously expensive depreciating asset, 100% Any time I have an issue with my truck, though I paid for extended warranty, all I get is gosh George I don't know, rope-a-dope, kick the can down the hill and hope the annoying customer that wants their truck fixed goes away. Duh, duh, duh, duh Ford told me to insult your intelligence with a poorly conceived excuse. Even though as a 15 year old you replace your engine in a Honda, and are not inept. I've taken my 2020 F-150 5.0 to Ford many times, and two dealerships told me the oil consumption was due to a programming and longer dipstick. So I jumped through the hoops for the predictable response, i.e. have you tried reprogramming it and getting a longer dipstick? After they had done just that 3,000 miles earlier. I bought that truck as my primary work vehicle for my small handyman business, I have taken it two Ford dealership shops in Bellingham, and Anacortes, Wa 5 times for 3 weeks total of being without my work truck with no resolution other than, keep putting oil in it. ....thanks skippy. Can't tell ya how helpful that was. Ya, 2 quarts of oil loss every 3000 miles, and I'm being told that's normal. I won't even get into the nonsense of dealing with the dealerships. Great buying experience, big, BIG middle finger if you need anything fixed. We consumers remember that very, very well. So pass it off to Ford, get your service department together, or you'll continue to see multiple thousands of vehicles rusting on the lot. Because when we go through the unbelievable pain in the as# of taking our new truck to get fixed, we actually expect it to get... surprise... fixed.

lol, I ain’t a fan of Biden but this was due to Covid. Car companies cranked the prices during Covid and now are experiencing the surprised Pikachu face because people aren’t buying them.

I for one will not be buying another Ford. I'm on my 3rd with the '24 F150 I currently have. Sync is dogshit wrapped in catshit. I was watching VTuned Garage's repair of a '23 F350 Lariat I believe. The factory didn't even paint the inside of the engine compartment... 80,000$+ and you can't afford paint?
