What market is this? We have family in St Louis and we're up there a lot but they are not the kind of shoppers comfortable with an Asian grocery store. I am! I'd love to hit this place up next time we're in town, it looks great!

@@kiltedcripple It is the Olive Supermarket! Right across the street is Seafood City as well, and it is also next to East Seoul Market which I highly recommend for Korea-specific groceries. There are also some great Asian restaurants in the area if you want recommendations!

@@kiltedcripple No problem! For Korean I'd recommend Wudon (bit pricey), Seoul Garden, or Asian Kitchen. Cate Zone and Lulu's Seafood are great for Chinese food. Those are mostly around the market, but if you're willing to travel further there are amazing places in Manchester and Chesterfield, and Manchester also has a huge Asian market called Pan Asia (better than Olive Supermarket IMO I just have nostalgic ties to olive). There is also a Chinese bakery on Olive and a Korean bakery called Kim's bakery in Chesterfield. It is right next to another Korean market with a little restaurant called Tony's K-food inside. Finally, no trip to STL would be complete without pho from Pho Grand. Happy eating!!

I think a really good sub for chinese sesame paste is natural peanut butter because it has more of that roasted quality that tahini doesn't have. If you buy the all natural kind though it should only have one or two ingredients like peanuts and/or salt.
