Never seen cream used to brown the crust but totally makes sense. Perfect recipe when you're stuck indoors. Smother it with gravy...mmm...lol. Glad y'all are still sane.

I buy the rotisserie chickens from Costco and take all the meat off and freeze for future use. So convenient for all types of recipes. I use the same bouillon too, it is great. Next time try using mashed potatoes as the topping instead of pie crust, it is really tasty.

I am looking forward to trying this. I finally got around to using your Hainanese Chicken recipe and it really came out great. I need to do some research. I think we only have a little flour left and the grocery stores are completely sold out of flour. I think a lot of people have picked up bread making... :(

Looks yummy....I do like to put my own design on crusts before I pop them into the oven. A few diagonal 'arrowheads'. It doesn't add to the flavor but I must say it looks good. [and also lets some steam escape.] Thanks for the inspiration....I'll make one tomorrow. :-)

Is it just me or shouldn't there be a bottom pie crust for the pot pie? One of my favourites, but I LOVE me a great pot pie. HA just heard the kids like the bottom pie crust... So how would you adjust the assembly and cooking time if you were to use a pie crust in the bottom?
@FloLum4 жыл бұрын
Assemble the whole pie and bake for 20-35 mins is my guess. I was afraid the pie crust would over brown. But if I were to bake a regular whole pie, I would follow the recipe to bake for however long it’s needed. I’m a walking contradiction. LOL

@@FloLum Sounds good to me compared to the chicken wings I made last night... almost 2 hours in the oven at 350 F because I went downstairs and two hours later my sister came to ask me if I wanted to take them out...

Frozen veg are fine, unless there are Lima beans present.🤢 If Limas are present, I'm out! 👋
@fosterdaddenis58354 жыл бұрын
My father is a picky eater. He used to remove the lima beans and leave them on the side of the plate, but recently he had his frozen veg on top with the rest of the meal and he could not as easily remove them and since then he has been eating them without problem... I don't like it and I have never tried it are his go to's... He won't even try gnocchi even though he will eat other types of pasta!
