Thank you for the kind words! This is my 4th time going through postpartum shedding and it does get better with time. As with everything else postpartum, eat healthy and don't stress yourself. Congrats on your little one and enjoy! xoxo

I love a good wash day routine 🤗 interesting I’ve never heard of that type of clay
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
I love it more than rhassoul and bentonite, though I will be exploring both of those again this year.

This video was very well put together. Thank you! I’m also a fan of your scowling shower face. 🤣 Since clays ionise in aqueous solution, it’s recommended to avoid working with clay in metal containers or with metal utensils. The ions in clay could react with the metal, and this could alter their properties. Thank you for sharing that you also use kaolin clay. I’m a huge fan of it. It leaves my hair clean but still soft and manageable. Do you still feel the need to shampoo every so often to make sure you get rid of stubborn deposits on your hair?
@NaturallyHigh6 жыл бұрын
Also, do you do this on detangled hair?
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
I use shampoo because of the protein treatment that I use monthly. They're from the same company so I figure that it might work out better that way. Before I started using protein I'd shampoo every few months.
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
If my hair is in medium or large twists, I'll detangle after I finish washing it and every second week. If my hair has been in mini twists and I'll detangle first and put my hair in "inbetween twists", wash, then restyle. ;)
@NaturallyHigh6 жыл бұрын
@@FromAto4z Ah good to know! I haven't tried going without pre-detangling before but it must save time! It might be a good idea for me to try that as well. I see what you mean about the protein treatment. Do you also use ApHogee?
@FromAto4z5 жыл бұрын
I've never tried Aphogee. Only Komaza Hair Care and Aubrey Organics GPB (protein) conditioner. I might give them a shot in the future, though.

Do younuse hot or cool water throughout your wash? Your hair is super lovely
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I use hot water throughout. I'm scared to let the cold water touch my back! I'm going to try to start using cold water as a final rinse, though. It's much better for your hair.

You seem to have retained a lot of length! How often do you take your twists out and wear your hair free?
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
Last year I started wearing my twists out more than I would normally, but I would say I'm in two strand twists (my protective style of choice) for about 90 to 95% of the time.

When do you detangle before or after washing your hair
@FromAto4z5 жыл бұрын
I usually detangle after, unless I'm coming out of mini twists, in which case I'll detangle before.

What’s your water based moisturizer

@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The water based conditioner is something that I've developed myself. The oil is broccoli seed oil.

I like your routine, does it suit 4b hair type?
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
I think it would work with any type 4 hair. I've done this with shampoo and with water only. It's a matter of getting your hair to stay in the twists that provides the most benefit during washing.

How often do you wash with the clay?
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
I use clay weekly, but if I'm pressed for time, then I'll use shampoo or water only.
@ericam.jackson71646 жыл бұрын
Thanks I will try the one you have. I use to use the bentonite clay and it was very drying.

What type of water based leave in conditioner do you use as your cream component? Is it the same Giovanni?

Water based moisturizer I mean
@tcl13106 жыл бұрын
As in the brand
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
Hi! It's one that I make myself. If it helps, the consistency isn't too thin and it's not very thick. So more of a lotion than a cream.

So simple.so you don't detangle the twists after? Even with the LOC ...your hair does not become dry and puffy the day after?
@FromAto4z5 жыл бұрын
It depends on how long I've been wearing the twists for and the size of the twists. If I don't, I will wear them in an updo or braided until the next wash day.
@NettesCozyLifestyle6 жыл бұрын
hey new subbie here where do you get that tub of clay from please
@FromAto4z6 жыл бұрын
Depending on where you live you can try a soap making supply store or health food store/GNC. Also try Amazon -- they sell bentonite clay.
@jazmineo35865 жыл бұрын
I just feel like if I were to wash my hair in twist I wouldn’t get all the dandruff out of my scalp.
@FromAto4z5 жыл бұрын
This might be an issue, yes. Perhaps it is good to correct this before trying this method or you can wash with smaller twists since it provides more access to your scalp.
