I remember playing this game with my dad. Every weekend, at the evening, my dad and i tried to beat the game. It was so fun, and hard. Many fails and retries too. We shared the controller everytime someone dies in the game. We had a lot of fun together, haha. We didn't beat the game back then. I stopped playing this game and I moved to Far Cry games. 4 years later, I decided to beat the game myself. I did. It was hard, but I did it. I told my dad: "Dad ! Do you remember Super Ghouls N Ghosts ? That game we played a lot ?" He said "Yes ! I remember. Are you still playing it after all these years ?" And I said "Well, yes. And guess what ? I beat it !" He said he was proud of me. I have a lot of games like this one. But I will never sell them to keep memories... Jesus Christ I can't hold my tear... Nice video by the way :)

There is also the "first episode" of this game for coin op, it's called Ghost 'n' goblins, always playable on mame. There is also a a remake for playstation portable (PSP) of Ghost 'n' goblins . I tell ya, I must have been carved out of pixelated stone back in 93 - cleared level 1 first attempt on xmas day 93, got to boss on level 2. I considered the game hard. Furthest I got was a multi headed dragon. Played it on the snes mini yesterday - can't even get halfway through the first level. Now I consider it insanely hard, and a bit unfair.

As hard as this game was, I think it took me almost 3 months of continuous play to finally beat it back in the late 90s!! Great vid

i remember beating this game in my youth(with tremendous effort). only to get the message to do it all over, i took the game out of my snes(forcefully), didn't even turn it off, packed it up and took it to the video game store( Willow Video) and traded it fuckin in for a different game.
@craigcotter74766 жыл бұрын
yes, that is a bit of an insult. Capcom must have enjoyed mocking its punters. Far too hard and extremely unfair.

Thank you for making this, such happy memories with friends. I had a friend Jerry who would play this and Castlevania and I would watch and be amazed. I just bought this for Xbox and discovered I love this version of the game. So sad not on xbox.

Took me forever to get far in this game & I remember being so pissed at 29:37 ! I couldn't believe this fkn game is starting over. I've never been past that part. No way I'm doing that whole ordeal again. There's more fish in the sea sorry princess!

Exactly how I felt. On top of that, the bracelet is garbage, having to do it all again with that awful weapon was worse than the extra enemies that come at you.

I remember playing this around 8 years old or so, thought I was just bad at it. Played it today on the Switch, and thought i was still just terrible at it. Went to look for tips online and only then realized it's one of the hardest titles ever made, and 8 year old me never stood a chance, and neither does current age me for that matter 🤣

I was a young boy like 9-10 years old. I'm german so i didn't know what she told to Arthur (the game was in english). So i came back again without the bracelet and had to go a third time but then i took the dictionary and gave my best. I was so proud to beat it! Lovely game. The same month i conquered Battletoads in Battlemaniacs. I wanted to beat these games so badly because i played them first aged 5-6 years and i was no match for them. No one around did it but me. What a time 🥰 PS: I was good but not 100% as good as you in your run shown here 👍
@Retronomicon5 күн бұрын
Still impressed with it. Similar to you, I played quite a few japanese games, looking at japanese characters and painstakingly piecing together main menus and stuff.

sponkmyers Ever heard of God Of War, or at least the Dark Souls series? You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about, and like the guy above me said; Super Meat Boy was one of the hardest platformers I’ve ever played in my entire life. There are plenty of extremely hard hair-ripping games around. If you want “SKILL”, go ahead and do an Ultra-Nightmare run of DOOM (2016) or play the entire Halo Master Chief Collection with all the skulls on while in Legendary difficulty. “No skill in games” my ass.
