I remember playing this game with my dad. Every weekend, at the evening, my dad and i tried to beat the game. It was so fun, and hard. Many fails and retries too. We shared the controller everytime someone dies in the game. We had a lot of fun together, haha. We didn't beat the game back then. I stopped playing this game and I moved to Far Cry games. 4 years later, I decided to beat the game myself. I did. It was hard, but I did it. I told my dad: "Dad ! Do you remember Super Ghouls N Ghosts ? That game we played a lot ?" He said "Yes ! I remember. Are you still playing it after all these years ?" And I said "Well, yes. And guess what ? I beat it !" He said he was proud of me. I have a lot of games like this one. But I will never sell them to keep memories... Jesus Christ I can't hold my tear... Nice video by the way :)

I saw the cover of this game online and instantly remembered it like it all came back too me! Its been 23 years since I heard this music and watched this gameplay. Aww man the memories. I remember playing this around 8 years old or so, thought I was just bad at it. Played it today on the Switch, and thought i was still just terrible at it. Went to look for tips online and only then realized it's one of the hardest titles ever made, and 8 year old me never stood a chance, and neither does current age me for that matter 🤣

i remember beating this game in my youth(with tremendous effort). only to get the message to do it all over, i took the game out of my snes(forcefully), didn't even turn it off, packed it up and took it to the video game store( Willow Video) and traded it fuckin in for a different game.
@craigcotter74765 жыл бұрын
yes, that is a bit of an insult. Capcom must have enjoyed mocking its punters. Far too hard and extremely unfair.

When i was a kid, i first hated the game. But after i played it for some hours i started to enjoy it and finished it several times. A tough nut to crack back then, but doable.

Thx for sharing...what a superb run! This game cost me 3 years of my youth 😮 but finally I beat it (just before the PS1 came out 😅). One of the best Retro OSTs too in my opinion...

sponkmyers Ever heard of God Of War, or at least the Dark Souls series? You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about, and like the guy above me said; Super Meat Boy was one of the hardest platformers I’ve ever played in my entire life. There are plenty of extremely hard hair-ripping games around. If you want “SKILL”, go ahead and do an Ultra-Nightmare run of DOOM (2016) or play the entire Halo Master Chief Collection with all the skulls on while in Legendary difficulty. “No skill in games” my ass.

Thank you for making this, such happy memories with friends. I had a friend Jerry who would play this and Castlevania and I would watch and be amazed. I just bought this for Xbox and discovered I love this version of the game. So sad not on xbox.

It's hilarious reading these comments. Once you get used to the patterns this game isn't that hard to beat. The SNES version anyways. Now ghost and goblins is a different story. That game was horribly hard.
