The premier league started all this. Before they let investors come into the game, there was possibility for smaller teams in countries like Portugal or the Netherlands to win the Champions League. Now they don’t have the slightest chance because all their players are immediately sold to English Spanish or German clubs. And it is an hypocrisy to criticize the Super League and complain about the death of the PL if you don’t recognize that the PL was the main cause of the demise of the essence of football. You can’t just cherry pick where investment is good or bad. Don't know enough about how this will look yet tbh but will it not just be a market place in terms of clubs choosing which competitions to enter so it'll be Super League vs Champions League? Either way I've always thought the CL should only be for Champions in a mini league format so they could potentially co-exist I guess. As I understand it, the ESL is to be played through out the season as an extra competition, there goes the credibility of both domestic cups, as the big teams will be playing thier catering staff until the semi's, then the youth team, then their A-team for the final.

PL fans can't really complaining about this. They spend the most amount of money, compare to any other leagues combined. So maybe they think it's fair for them to finally compete financially with PL. Also it's wake up call to those corrupt UEFA/FIFA/FA and be humbled. If PL let's say has fallen off popularity, it's their own fault for "the best league itw" being run with "the worst and most corrupt official itw".

The problem with the CL is too many of the same teams appearing too often, not the opposite. The more the same clubs appear the more boring the offering becomes. Level up the qualifying process it is already too weighted towards the big clubs.
