I love this extremely unique dynamic that Koizumi and Miyamoto have when it comes to the Mario series in that Koizumi treats the franchise with respect, gives serious answers to questions that he is given about the decisions he makes in Mario games he works on, and thinks the Mario franchise deserves more complex and detailed story telling while Miyamoto barely if ever takes the franchise seriously, gives ridiculous and non-sensical answers to questions he is given about the Mario franchise, and think that the Mario franchise should not have ANY complex storytelling and should JUST be about the gameplay and says that the Mario cast is just a “troupe of actors”.

There's absolutely no reason for them to have not come up with something regarding her flower powers. Peach can't do any of that. "Silhouette too similar to Peach's" Ok-- 1.) What is their excuse for Luigi then and how is Rosalina's different enough? 2.) There are literally only 2 levels in the game that does the silhouette thing. It really doesn't matter. 3.) They were going to add Toadette in the switch port. Her pigtails would blend in with the shadow. She wasn't going to look all that different from Toad. That Yoshi thing is really dumb too if it's true. The Flutter Jump and Peach's float don't work all that similarly at all and the Potted Piranha Plant barely showed up. Why do the devs only care about the same 5-9 characters while everyone else get scraps or nothing at all? Or is there some other dumb mandate in place for them?

They were talking about silhouettes. There are stages in that game that just use shadows of characters and if you were doing multiplayer, daisy and peach would seem like the same character. Whereas Rosalina is taller and has a thinner dress than the other two. (Kind of like Luigi to Mario)

I would have thought that the Toadette animations in 3D World Deluxe are just leftover from Mario Maker 2 (where she is playable in the 3D World style, and therefore has a full set of animations)
