If producers still don't know how to present a live action film for general audiences based on a videogame, I can't think how they felt back then 😂 If anything I would've personally marketed the movie as the real story behind the games, kinda like how they did in the post credits scene! Would've attracted more attention from the public back then 👀

this is a super cool idea! It really is one of those things without the post credits scene especially, people do the usual "did they even play the Mario games?" thinking they just had no idea what they were doing when the idea that the live action story is adapted into a game is such a cool way to get away with doing their own unique thing.

@@zackgb Ah I gotcha. Though you know what's odd. The original 1993/1994 VHS release of the movie cost the same as those GameCube component cables.

Well actually it's kind of amusing that it uses music from Die Hard 2 as you say given that John Leguizamo was one of Colonel Stewart's men in a very early role lol
