You are so pretty awesome playing this game! With all items percentage, I spent like 6 hours, and I've seen so far the 2h:34m record... But I never thought this game could be completed with less than one hour, no matter its final percentage! Pretty nice

At the very end of the mission, right before entering Samus' ship, the player can choose to save the friendly animals that help you learn things during the game. It is optional and the crowd voted (raffled) the option of saving. Go to 54:36 to see where he starts the short detour.

I started watching these runs in early June. The first I watched was Yoshifan's F-Zero GX speed run. Very impressive speed runs for a great cause. I instantly subscribed on that day. These runs have inspired me to try speed running some of these games. I am amazed at how you guys avoid the stupid mistakes I make. Good times still come out though.

There is a difference in real time and in game time for a lot of games. 33 minutes was the in game clear time. The time in the video name is the real time it took to do the run. Hope this helps.

At the end of the game, you can go back into the room you got the bombs to save the animals there. Those animals teach you things like wall jumping and the speed boost thing. He saved them around 54:45

I agree with you senor. When I watch speed runs, I usually expect the timer to be in game time, not real time. I wasn't impressed until I saw the game time, cause 46 mins is my record for quickest completion of the game (game time).

never played this game, but my legacy with games made most of it pretty easy to understand(would have loved less DONORS and more commentary though). Also, is the big blast supposed to slow time or is it slowdown of game?

"The Big Blast" is a powerbomb. They Damage everything on screen, are necessary to open some doors, and (as a side effect) cause game slowing on the snes. (Mode 7 was pretty intense at the time.)
