One thing that never gets talked about with the Ducati is it's terrible fuel range . I had always wanted a Ducati and was really up for buying a streetfighter until I test rode one . Brimmed the tank at the start of the test ride . Ten minutes steady riding to get acclimatised to it then rode it pretty quickly for the rest of the test. 76 miles and fuel gone . Not exceptable Ducati . Bought the superduke instead . It gets between 110 and 120 ridden like you stole it .

@kuhndj674 жыл бұрын
The dyno results for the Aprilia V4 pretty much lay on top of Ducati from idle to Aprilia redline. I'm a big fan of the Tuono... but if midrange power is hard to find on the Duc it's hard to find on the Aprilia. IMO they're both solid in the midrange unless you compare them to the Superduke (which is absurdly strong midrange). I agree with the assessment that for the street the Tuono is probably the best all around... because the SFv4s is a LOT more expensive and the power advantage is only usable on the street at extra-legal speeds in most places. However... IMO they're all pretty awesome bikes.

@@Disgruntled_Duke Exactly.. KTM have a habit of being very conservative with their power output claims, and most of the dyno charts I've seen have shown the SDR, SDGT etc. to have as much as, if not more than, the claimed power, whereas none of the others will even get close to their claim on a dyno. If you look at the "top speeds" in this video you'll see that the supposedly least powerful bike (SDR) is not down on top speed against any of the others bar the H2. Boring out the 1290 (actually it's a 1301) would be much more than a rebore, it'd mean a completely new engine, and I'm not convinced there is any significant advantage. A bigger engine will certainly weigh more, and weight is one of the big things about the SDR.
