I know you've said you don't wanna make tutorial videos, but as the mainstay of MP for this game would you consider doing a video explaining basic build formats? I used to play and want to get back in but it's been 3 years or so and I've no idea how to really play and would love your help to get started again

This! I'm just getting back in after a half-year or so hiatus. These videos are awesome, but there's a huge lack of how to play domination, build an army, etc

1. Pick one faction/roster (less variables and counters to worry about) 2. Make a well rounded roster based on who you are facing, take into consideration their strengths and weaknesses. You can't prep for all roster configurations but you should know the most likely (Khorne has no winds of magic, hardly any shooting/missiles, strong characters and heavy infantry. So in my mind I would want maybe artillery, monstrous inf and/or armor piercing. Maybe a character that can duel the Khorne heros or shooting and snares to melt them.) Don't be afraid to experiment and test different things. The more you play, the more matchups you see and the more information you have for the next one. See you in ranked 😎

The easiest way to learn the game is through the community in my experience. Try to join one of the clans (like RTK for both Domination and LB or ODM for Land Battle only, etc.) and you will find there a ton of people that will provide you with tips and advice on how to play the game.

I love the confidence of GDOG seeing Grom getting butchered by Archaon, just to bring him back for round 2 and immediately dive Archaon. Grom didn't hear no bell. (As an aside, I do get the theory of wanting to get Grom to hit Archaon some as he has massive AP damage)

Welp... I liked the idea of trading HP with Archaon vs the two characters that can both passively regenerate. But that idea went down the drain when he just lets Archaon murder the fat troll.

To keep committing all of his resources into trying to get Archie after he got karate chopped the first time was certainly a choice.

it's a pretty bad idea from the getgo though, Archaon has fire damage and you are bringing in two characters with 20% fire weakness to trade with him.

This was actually the first total tavern WoC win of the season, taking them from 0-7 to 1-7 (don't ask how much I contributed to the seven losses)

You could almost hear the "Oh shit..." From the Greenskin player when Archeon landed his first hit and took off 30% hp. Glorious combat!

Grom did get AP flip with the patch. But given that Archaon is probably the most likely lord pick against GS, Grom seems like a horrible choice since Archie can catch him and flaming attacks hurt.

Grom can be fine. Just maybe dont try to directly contest the best melee lord in the entire game with an overweight orc and an overweight orc fish thing... If the GS player had just spent his time with Grom on the low ground this game probably goes a lot better. Also some big micro mistakes, not enveloping Archaeon with any of the troll units properly, trying to do it when he's fresh and doesnt have all the exhaustion maluses, etc.

Grom had his ap ratio flipped, so he is good against armour now. However, he really isn't a duelist unless he's fighting foot characters.

You need the latest DLC, thrones of Decay. That's what added the Nurgle Sorcerer hero.

Honestly, I kinda hate that WoC get a Nurgle caster now. Like, it may be thematic and all, but it just feels like most non-Nurgle units were balanced around the fact that their faction doesn't get healing, as far as combat stats and hp pools are concerned.
