indeed, awesome and incredibly generous. I was a Berklee guitar principal in the 90s and can confirm this is the kind of stuff that made Tomo an in demand private instructor even back then. So many great and generous teachers there. I keep hoping Abby Aronson Zocher, Norm Zocher, or Julien Kasper will take a page from the book of Tomo and do some youtube lessons. I learned so much from all of them that still sticks with me 25 years later.

I listen to your albums and I'm amazed that you can come on youtube and play so simply to try and bring a concept home for someone else. These videos are a treasure for me. It is a reminder that if you can't play simply there is a big hole in your music. Thank you again for these videos. There is always some detail that makes me think.

Dear Tomo, I have been your fan for quite some years. I went from rock band lover to blues lover when I reached my mid twenties. I am 34 now and I came to know about you from John Mayer. I am grateful for your wise words and lessons. I was wondering if I could send you my original song. I would be forever grateful if you could give me some insights about my songwriting process. Love from Nepal.

Tomo San, can you recommend perhaps sites with backing tracks? I’m really broke and I can’t afford to buy any tracks. When we came to America we were broke and this country has not been very kind. My father is going back. I have nothing to go back to. I did really bad in America. But anyway, are there tracks? All the best Serge in Chicago.

You should make own backing tracks! This way you practice chord progressions & learn rhythm guitar & harmony! Great preparation for soloing! I have a few backing tracks on here!
@stanphillips7277

Hey Serge, I'm sorry this country wasn't kind to you and I'm supposing you're family? In any case this country isn't very kind to it's natural born citizens when they're broke. Please my brother, don't take it personally. I normally search KZbin for backing tracks, and just choose one...see if it's description sounds like something I want to play along with like, " slow blues backing track in E mjr " or whatever you're in the mood for. I used to have a looping peddle when I first started and, I'd record a few chords to play over. Then I got a 4 track recorder , a casette tape one like The Beatles used and, although it's an antique I learned a lot about mixing and, it helped my playing. The enjoyment and, I was improving because I was creating, and mixing so I was really listening you know? So as an American, born and raised I welcome you regardless of what country you're from. Serge sounds like maybe France? Italy? It makes no difference, there's haves and have nots in the USA and, the haves aren't sharing what they have with anyone. It's the nature of things. Upper, Middle, Low income economic classes. There are good people and, bad people and I suppose there's some middle ground. Nobody is entirely good or bad I suppose. Broke is no fun I know from personal experience. Wealthiest country in the world and, still people are starving and homeless. It's good old fashioned greed, not you man. Tomo had some backing tracks, if you go to his channel and search "backing tracks" I'm sure you'll find blues and funk tracks. I've never paid for tracks, I doubt I could afford it 😂 I play a Fender Squier Affinity SSS and a Fender LT25 modeling amp, cheap guitar and little practice amp. Inexpensive but not necessarily cheap I should say. Tomo is playing an Ibanez AZ (40?) I think it's 40 that he helped to design. If I had it to do over, I'd have bought one instead of my Squier and I can only afford 1 guitar. Good luck Serge, if you have any difficulty finding things let me know what you want and, I'll try and find you a link ok? Take it easy Serge and, I'll see you around bro ✌️🎸🎶
