Nicko has improved a lot. He's more quick on switching to the right monado art at the right time and his empty hops helped a lot. Fatality did good after 2 games, but he's just too aggressive. IMO, it's best to attack shulk during jump, buster and speed. Shield can be camped out and so can smash. One is slower and at high % shulk can just be grabbed until time runs out. He won't have anything to switch to besides jump or speed. Both will make him lighter, I think. Shulk is tricky, but it's fun figuring him out.

I love how both players smiled after that knee from ledge hit Nicko in game 1. Nicko looked content even after losing the stock to the nair. That kind of respect is great to see. And game 3 Nicko looked so amused by the combo into flawless edge-guard first stock.

I play Falcon too and my roommate has a good shulk. (Not like it means anything but at least we're both decent in elite smash) and this matchup feels so difficult for falcon. The amount of damage and quick KO's Shulk can do while also using the disjoint and pretty low ending lag to prevent punishing makes me feel like I constantly have to be trying 1000%. (Not to mention how useful the monado arts are for surviving and getting back to neutral when in disadvantage/ even if you take the first stock Shulk can drop in with Smash Monado and its terrifying haha) Nothing but respect for Fatality, always keeping it close when it seems like Shulk has the potential to run away with the match. (of course Nicko played fantastic too, no hate)

Something a lot of people doesn't know about Shulk, is that his Neutral B gives him invencibility frames. This makes a great Shulk almost imposible to combo, which is huge for characters like Captain Falcon and could explain why Fatality made almost no follow ups for racking damage, his main strength.

honestly, fatality even said himself that Zero suit is a much better version of Falcon, he needs to make the switch to that character asap but his loyalty wont let him. I feel like if he grinded that character for just a month or two his ZSS would be better than his falcon that hes been training for quit a while. Just being honest his results aren't looking the best and I can see his ZSS being godlike and making top 8 in A/S tiers.

His heart has to be into the grind as well. His loyalty towards Falcon probably can't be easily substituted and if he just passionlessly grinds on another character and doesn't get significantly better results, he'll probably be more frustrated than he is right now with Falcon's weaknesses and that could potentially kill the desire of being a top player in this game. Like even if ZSS can do Falcon things better, she still isn't Falcon. Especially with that grab.

Everybody needs to get into the habit of extending the video lengths of at least the finals of ANY tournament to 30-40+ minutes so that the result is NOT spoiled. Someone has already implemented this but I don't remember who, and it's a great idea to do. It can be 15 minutes of nothing but a black screen, doesn't matter, just please do that so results aren't spoiled...

The second game was like "living on the (l)edge", because Fatality never had an opportunity to play his neutral on the center of the stage lol. Nicko's edgeguard was amazing, but maybe Yoshi's Story is too short for a rushdown character and that's why Shulk has an advantage against Falcon, because of his long sword. Both players played greatly

@@Spleen2ween Terry is better for baiting Shulks laggier sword options, can projectile whore to circumvent shulks shield art, has better burst options and better kill options because he covers larger areas, his legs are usually invincible, and he gets Go! at 100%+, and his movement is better and less of a concern because a better dash dance and it auto faces opponents. Terry is the closest thing we have to a not shit tier falcon, which is why lots of falcon mains having the exodus of picking Terry lol. Idk if his legs count as disjoints but the whole legs got s, so it's way better for combating swords.
