I was terrible at combos, but that range attack from the robot chick was easy to spam and was really big. It only got me so far, though, because the AI would kick my ass at later levels.

Eh, I was almost thinking this was miss-named, but really the fighting in this game looks quite solid and polished, even if the overall game doesn't quite have the polish of triple A games, the combat looks well enough, certainly compares to Soul Edge, though it does not have the awesome announcer which is a shame. The main Storyline is a touch like Soul Edge as well, but still just separate enough, and I like the characters, especially Niki for her inverse kinetics combat.

Oh wow, I did not expect them to play this one. Brings back fond memories of me being a little shit and spamming Aaron's gun and occasionally throwing grenades (in-game, mind you) at my parents back when they still played video games. I still kinda like the music in Dark Rift. Also, Aaron had the best throw and Sonork had the coolest/goofiest specials. Demitron may have been the real final boss but he was a little bitch compared to Sonork and his stupid projectiles and that mechanical claw thing of his.

Actually I hear Dark Rift WAS gonna be called Criticom 2...then they realized no one liked Criticom. Also, Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophy hits PS4 in Hong Kong and Japan next week. It has magical cross-dress-fu and battle chefs. Also remember you can grab Dark Awake: The King Has No Name on PS3 off the Japanese PSN store (it looks fugly but is pretty good) and when *IS* Slap Happy Rhythm Busters anyway, Woolie?
