I'm guessing there was some performance anxiety leading up to this. Probably why it took them so long to finally decide to do it. Guessing Woolie gave the game a few practice runs before they started recording. Things Woolie doesn't know Volume 2. Recovery on normal attacks are effectively mitigated with forward dodge. You can dodge on hit, block, or whiff on moves that doesn't leave you in a airborne or lying on the ground. This makes yes man Kablaam into one of the best moves on dizzied enemies.

The reason it's framed like that is because he doesn't pick up his arm, he picks up his entire body, they just frame it so you only see the arm, because they didn't model his arm separately.

I quit early in my playtrough of medium in this game and beat it on easy. Went back to try medium again and I made even less progress because I get to level DIE in a few minutes and every hit basically insta-kills you. The only game I can think of where understanding it more makes you worse.

Rhino 'n Chips try taking it solely on a one on one basis. Groups will get you in trouble quick. 2 things I did was slowly pick off people with running square (unless you run into a wall) and a more advanced form of crowd control is to launch enemies into each other (look up Godhand has no crowd control). save orbs for grovels until you're feeling confident. Enemies get tougher as you progress. And last thing, you are going to die. there's no escaping this as well as no punishment. besides a reduction of bonus after the bosses. however your kills still count. Be patient and overall treat it like a souls game that speed based instead of numbers based.

You know, they talk about this game's lack of presentation or technical polish, but I'm seeing some baffling details for a PS2 game. Notably Gene's cloak and hair physics, which is a thing that wasn't really on PS2 games. Not to mention in Elvis' boss fight, the rings on his arms reacted to his movements. It's not the kind of thing the average player would notice, and would have taken a lot of work to implement properly in that era. And then the camera repeatedly clips through walls. This game just continues to be an utter enigma.

It's cool that devs can work with that kind of technology but maybe to get away with the usual TRIIIIPAL AAAAAAY shenanigans, it might help if the gaming community were to suddenly say "hey, screw your super realistic graphics I just want good gameplay and solid art direction" because frankly, you can still have a gorgeous game without all the bells and whistles. Okami and Shadow of the Colossus didn't need characters models where you could see the pores of their skin or raycasting light through trees that looks like someone filmed some real life trees. All of that is just fluff.
