Pat, I hate to tell you this, but the Phaedra fight is only frustrating because you wait far too long to get into the caverns, so it starts attacking you while you're outside it. You just need to let it see you go in and come over itself. You don't need to bait it for so long. Also don't shine a bright magical sword light in it's face while you're trying to sneak up on it. You're making it way harder than it is, and it's behavior is much more consistent than you give it credit for

Maul547 i climbed the fourth Colossus yesterday by standing on top of Agro's back and jumping sufficiently high enough to grab onto the boss' hind legs/thighs. I was climbing my way from there but the Colossus did a sudden movement that threw me all the way to his shoulder. Fucking hype.

You're supposed to lead him into the middle of the 4 tunnels, then get his attention and duck into a tunnel when he comes up to you, then use the tunnel to pop up behind him, then you can sneak up on him while he's got his head stuck in the tunnel you went under in.

All there is is that the game runs at 30fps so Wander reacts to more things. The controls are otherwise exactly the same and playing them back to back saying that the PS3 version is twice as hard is a massive overstatement imo.

The reason this fight is hard for so many people is because when Phaedra first looks into the hole and then starts moving towards the player they'll assume the boss screwed up and is coming to them and they'll run out to try again, but that animation is actually a really wide circle the boss is taking to look in the hole from a higher angle. Just have patience.

Nah, it's pretty easy to get #4 to look into the tunnel system and it's even easier to climb it since you can either do it from its rear tail thing or the dangly bits near his head. You don't need to use Agro (unless you're going for a high score in time attack mode) as once the colossi enters its bow animation he's in it for ages. #9 is far worse IMO; my most recent hard run had the colossus refusing to go anywhere near the geysers and kept sniping Agro and I with his energy blasts like a bitch 😠.

"Easy" is a relative term, the AI always refused to cooperate and look down into the tunnels with me, and since it's the only way to be able to climb it, it led to a lot of frustration and irritation as a kid, if the game just doesn't wanna do it, you have no option, it's incredibly luck dependant.

This game looks gorgeous running at a buttery smooth 60fps. I finished the ps3 hd re-master just the other day and I must say the art style in the ps4 remake is fantastic - it's different enough to feel fresh and impressive yet somehow feels familiar enough at the same time. The way I remember doing the 4th colossus is getting its attention, running underground but still in sight of the entrance, waiting until I can see its face peering down the hole, then running out straight at it and jumping onto its "jowls" in the brief few seconds it takes to react.
