I watched an experienced R6 Racer who claims his engines last much longer by prewarming the oil to near operating temperature, he has rebuilt engines with spun bearings to prove it. Would pre-heating the oil help you get more life out of yours ?

No I don't think so. What does help with all engines is pre-oil pressure before starting. The engine probably failed because it was in the high-speed crash.
