Random bit of nerd trivia: Back in the old expanded universe canon, now Legends, Han Solo fell into a category called Force Attuned. It was like a lesser type of Force connection, where the person couldn't call upon the Force in the way you had to be able to for Jedi training, but they did have a sort of latent connection to it which typically manifested as heightened reflexes and an uncanny sense for danger. Like how Han always had a bad feeling, and was pretty much always right when he had one.

There is also something about medichlorians and piloting in S2 EP16 of the clone wars. Anakin flies a stealth ship through a laser barrage without a scratch. The concept of godparents is more about legal guardianship than just Auntie and Uncle giving you a gift for Christian holidays and your birthday. Should something happen to your parents before you turn 18, your godparents automatically become your legal guardians. I know it goes on a Harry Potter fan theory tangent but please read on. We find out that Lily is pregnant with child number two when she is killed by Voldemort. Also, we find out that she wants Severus back in her life AND to make him godfather to this second child. WHY??? Sure, Severus would definitely man up, despite his pain. He did it for Harry. As we find out, Severus was in love with Lily. He made his mistakes and James CAPITALIZED on those mistakes to weasel his way into Lily's life in order to further torture Severus. Names have MEANING in the Wizarding World. James means supplanter. Supplant means to take over or posses by aggressive or hostile means. Now, we know Lily OPENLY HATED James... YET, barely 2 years later, she's MARRIED to him with his son. I would say this. James TOOK ADVANTAGE of Lily's anger at Severus for his big mistake and kept it alive, comparing the concept that he (James) wouldn't make such a mistake... and wouldn't let her forget it. Then, after the battles with the Death Eaters, of which Severus most likely joined in order to commit suicide and take revenge on James. After the battles, Lily was BLINDSIDED by one or both of 2 things. 1. Hypergamy 2. Hero Worship. Hypergamy because he was the heir of his family's hair care product business fortune. Hero Worship because he was on the winning team. I'd say their relationship was more Vegas style than much else. Lily discovered she was pregnant once the post war celebrations were over and married him out of duty. Then, once the high of that hero worship wore off, she remembered why she despised James, but now she was married to him with his child. I'd say, she secretly sought out her old friend, Severus to reconcile their friendship. However so long later, she discovered Severus still loved her and she still had feelings for him.... life happened and Severus got her pregnant. She continued with life as normal, possibly considering divorce when Voldemort showed up.
@mindovermatterbecomingyour15613 жыл бұрын
Actually no harry wasnt baptized as harry becomes teddy lupins godfather merely because remus asked him to & he said yes as another commenter said the non religious purpose of godparents is to legally establish who becomes a childs legal guardian should the parents die while the child is still a minor so that doesnt necessarily mean theres a god in universe although its established that there is an afterlife

originally everyone who believed in the force could use it to some extent, this was OFC retconned in Episode 1 (kinda, as most likely everyone has midichlorians, but only those who have a high amount can use them to power the force (as J states)). Remember that Leia was not yet chosen to be a force-sensitive/Luke's sister before RotJ, yet she could sense Luke was in danger in Empire. We can sort of see a remnant of this in Rogue One with Chirrut îmwe believing that the force guided him, so it did. Again these are facts J stated, but if i can write this comment i will. Been thinking about this for a week or so lol. I've been wondering if they might use this as a way to force ghost Han and put he, Luke, and Leia on screen one more time. It's too much of a shame they never got a shot at it. Mark Hamill has expressed much disdain over never being with Harrison Ford and Carrie ever again.

@@girgrumpyorange1873 Universal yes, but doesn't necessarily apply to all alternate realities. We also have no idea how old the asteroid field is in the Hoth system it might be in the process of coalescing into a planetoid or it might have been a planet recently destroyed by another large rock. Now recently is a relative term it could still be thousands of years prior to the events in the movies, but Hoth is regularly getting hit by meteorites originating from that debris field, this is actually mentioned in dialog. My point is yes space is big, and in a stable asteroid field like the Sol Systems the distances between things are huge, but that will not apply to all debris fields all the time, even in the Milkyway.

Star Wars/Star Trek Theory: What if the Jedi Council picking younglings is actually like how Trill (Star Trek) pick candidates for joining with symbiotes? Like they say they have to go through this strict process to ensure the best candidates and that the wrong host wouldn’t be able to join but in reality basically any Trill can join with any symbiote and they just put up a front so the symbiotes don’t become commodities. So in Star Wars anyone could become a Jedi, but the Jedi Council just focus on those they think would be good Jedi, not necessarily more powerful Jedi.

Not saying it’s not impressive but maybe when Anakin was chopped up by Obi Wan maybe just like his connection to the force was pretty much completely cut off maybe his amazing piloting was bc of the force so his piloting skills when down Edit: Also Luke didn’t feel as much power in Vader than Rey and Ben bc Vader/Anakin got his connection to the forced majorly cut off when Obi Wan cut him up

Not just his hand, dont forget he lost most of his body after his duel with Obi Wan on Mustafar. Its confirmed in both canons that he lost a significant amount of his powers due to that and so he was much weaker in the OT than in the Prequels. So u were totally on the right track, good thinking!

Everything checks out aside from anything about piloting the Falcon, because in Solo, it was implied that L3, Lando's droid that was uploaded to the falcon as it's navigational system, and was also the co-pilot to lando, is doing quite a bit of the extraordinary feats that we see.

Being Force "sensitive" doesn't mean someone can use the Force. It means that they have a connection to the Force that guides them. Being Force "adept" means someone can use the Force to manipulate their surroundings in some small way, usually subconsciously. These explanations come from the former expanded universe (which Disney tossed out so they could blindly write their trilogy while griping that they have no source material like they have for Marvel)

Short Answer: No Annoying Answer: yes everyone somewhat Force sensitive and theoriticaly with training anyone could somewhat use the Force (varying in degree). Also the Force is supposed to influence all life so in a sense 'luck' is but a manifestation of the Force. That being said Han being Force sensitive and having all his skills & luck coming from the Force is just rendering his character - a fraud.

Why does everyone assume that Padme was not force sensitive. Luke says she was in RotJ. She has that whole moment in RotS where she and Anakin share a force bond. You could even make an argument that she used a jedi mind trick inadvertantly on Boss Nass who we know was vulnerable to them in order to get his help in TPM. Notice how before that scene Qui-Gon says that they can't use their powers to help her then the two jedi smirk when she manages to convince Boss Nass. It's not like there isn't a giant precedence for a powerful force user being born on naboo and missed by the jedi order (palpatine). But people go out of their way to dismiss Padme as not force sensitive.
