That was the best duel in All Star Wars name a better one The Duel of Fates look cool but Ahsoka vs. Vader was a better fight it had an extra emotional tension behind it Fates didn't. "Revenge is not the Jedi way." "I am no Jedi." Just saying it gives me goosebumps and the look on Ahsoka's face when she hears Anakin and Darth Vader's voice. That part of rebels alone is better than any part of the Disney trilogy.

I think Kylos actions towards Luke are completely sane and100% justified. Remember, Kylo was just catching some Z's and he woke up to see Luke standing above him about to give him the 'Marie Antoinette' cut. He's friggin' terrified of him.

I’m reading the extended novelization of that movie and it actually explains a lot of the thoughts people had really well. It also has a ton of stuff that wasn’t in the movie, like Leia having a memorial for Han. It also makes Rose a bit less... grating. It makes it more obvious that she was there mostly to showcase Finn’s singleminded devotion to Rey, like how a baby bird imprints on the first thing it sees. It shows the perceptions of both Ben and Luke from their perspectives, using mostly the same words. I’m not a huge fan of most of the novelizations, but this one is good. I’m impatient for the next one to be off pre-order already! I’m a “why,” person. I love the details. The books allow way more detail than a visual medium can.

maybe he *tried* to corrupt his, but he felt not fully inclined to the dark side when he did it, so it corrupted the crystal, but made it extremely unstable in the process, making it highly volatile and dangerous that it needed the vents. Kylo *really* wanted to balance the force, not overtake it with darkness, and the crystal knew that.

I really, REALLY hope that with Rise of the Skywalker, grey jedis become cannon (which is basically the conclusion of this theory). Luke himself had come to that realisation (we see that in his teachings to Rey), as did Yoda's force ghost (demonstrated by him burning down the tree). The whole series has been building up to this, so I really really hope that this is where SW is heading

Also the colour thing is wrong. Green is for more diplomatic Jedi or a heavy force user, blue is for more of the warrior type, yellow is for the temple guards (they’re past down), and purple (well we can only theorise, but...) we assume is due to the combination of light and dark. Mace Windu used his special form when it came to fighting, which used his opponents’ dark side power against them, meaning they never have to actually tap into the dark side. The kyber crystals are always see through until the Jedi (or Sith I guess) pours their essence into the crystal, meaning it turns into the colour that represents them best

If I remember correctly black saber is a T.I.E. fighter squadron and not a reference to the dark saber. But I may be mistaken. It's been a long time since I played X-Wing, so I'm a little rusty on my squadron names.

One Jedi did have a red lightsabre, it is from Legends, so if that count's is up to you... Adi Gallia, who does appear in Episode 1&2, but I don't think you ever see her with a red sabre in them.

Hey Jay, great video. Can’t wait to see the new movie. While watching the video I did notice a lot of parallels between Kylo Ren and Severus Snape. Kylo kills Han, his father Snape kills Dumbledore, definite father figure. Snape was a double agent, Kylo sounds like he could be a double agent. And so on and so forth. Have you guys considered about that parallel dynamic and how that could play out in this next movie? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

That white light from the saber blade is known in the saber community as "blade lockup"; ie: when 2 lightsaber blades 'lockup' on each other and creates a flickering effect.
