Hi mate! Thanks 4 the tutorial! On my kit, it comes like a metal bushing with the short shifter and screws. Do I need to replace it? My engine is like 62758 miles (about 101,000 km) and the previous owner was an old married couple, and all fixes and maintance was made on the Lexus workshop (proved). Pls let me know if it is necessary ;)

A little late to the party, but isn't everyone. Nice video, and simple explanation. Do you find that your transmission is clunky when shifting? Especially from 1st to 3rd gear? I heard that's a common problem on the IS200's. What's your take?

Hi mate, the Pedals are standard Sport pedals that came with the car. I think you can buy some covers off eBay and fit them with no hassle.

Hey mate, nah didn't notice my hand getting any colder after changing it =D. I saw that Ben was selling these only after I posted a video. I didn't get it off him and didn't know he was selling at the time. Although I'm glad he is =D

Hello brother you Know how to adjust the height I have the same short shifter, but it does not have alien bolts on the lever part, I say to adjust the height, it has a kind of metal, that Is taken out to adjust the height?

Hey mate, sorry for the late reply, You probably figured it out by now but here is my 2 cents. With the short shifter that I purchased it mine did not come with any height adjustment. That being said the short shifter in question does not come with height adjustment. the shortness is only with the throws when shifting over stock.

You can use lithium grease but head to your auto shop. They should have shifter grease for shifter assembly.

I want to install Epman short shifter in my IS200, but I'm confused what I have to do with this screws on the sides (where you used allen key). Can you please tell me what is it for? It's some kind of shift lenght limitator?

+Komandos1205 hey mate the screws on the side i am tightening up are to hold the shifter spacer in position with the shifter. It would also be to adjust the shifter height. However some short shift kits have more adjustability in the top section.

Shackz OK, but how do I know that it's in a good position when it'll be installed? I thought it's possible to check it only when it's not mounted. Do I need to adjust it and feel the difference for my own or there is some tips how much tight it up?

+Komandos1205 the height adjustment doesnt do much unless the kit is ment to be adjusted vertically. Before the installstion whether your car is left or right jand drive the shifter will either be pointjng to the left or the right depending on the driver location. You can adjust the little screws to off set the angle of the shifter to poin to the direction of the steering wheel. However dont try and modify the locarion of the angle when the shifter is in the gear box. You might accidently put the box into gear and thay would br a headache to undo.

+Komandos1205 haha no worries. It shoudlnt be really to need adjusting. Although you need to take the gearbox spacer out so you can lubricate the Oring. You wont break anything ☺

All hardware was reused from the stock shifter.

@@deanwilson2020 Hey mate, Im having trouble installing it aswell. Did you manage to fix it? I thing the plastic piece on the bottom doesn't fit into the gearbox properly.

@@VishalFernando I had to use a hammer and ended up bashing the shifter in was a lot of bashing but done the trick and worked mint!!

Hi mate It cost me around $60 Australian Dollars. The screws in the kit need to be longer though.
