And the J's Racing S2K wasn't supercharged. It had a built stroked NA motor. I can only imagine what this is like with more torque.

I always question if the ball oem shift knob is best. I’ve seen so many well built s2000 with ball shift knob oem , even though there are thousands of dollars worth of parts on the entire car.

People sleep on s2000's - until you drive one nobody can understand how wild of a chassis they are. Grip monsters, steering on rails.

They definitely need power mods. It has the nimble handling, but it feels lazy compared to the old Altezza R200z, or even the GT86/BRZ (even untuned ones). I think 280-320bhp would be the perfect amount of power for an S2K.

I'm sure this car would easily be a sub-1:35 around Laguna. How close can it get to 1:30 is the question. I'd love to watch that lap, but we'll probably never get to see it because of how loud it is. 😂

That beast must be insane on the track. I recently rode in an NA AP1 with all the handling mods, good tires, and that was crazy fast. Take that to 400 whp I would imagine tracking that would be like going to the gym ha ha. That thing looks like it could easily go sub 1:50 at Buttonwillow. Nice video, keep 'em coming.

@Zygrene - You sir are a workhorse! Content almost every day! Have you done a 992 S review or test driven one? Looks like you're in the west coast. If you were closer, I'd let you test drive mine which has some tasteful mods that I think you'd like.

16k is too firm for the road. 8k front, 10k rear would be the sweet spot imo. Unreal S2K though. Just savage. I've always felt these high revving engines benefit more from a centrifugal type supercharger (pro charger) than a roots or twin screw. Any plans to supercharge your S2K? Having a supercharged AP1 S2K with the F22C engine, and then a NSX on ITB's would be a dream.

I don't think any SC kit for the S2000 comes in roots or twin screw.

I had 10k front and was too soft, 12k is much better for spirited driving, even with the dampening on full hard with ohlins I’d still bottom the front relatively easily with 10k, also the S2000 works better with either same spring rate front and rear or stiffer in the front depending on wheel/tyre sizes.

​​@@Manvswild11I know most people say that same thing, stiffer front springs and sway bar on them with 255 square, but my car understeered WAY too much with original Ohlins 10k Front/8K rear and stock bars on 255x4. 10K all around and stiffer rear bar worked way better for me, may be just driver preference

@@TheBb6prelude No he mention the J's Racing S2K from Best Motoring. That's the Maou S2K that goes up against the Maou RX-7 FD3S. You need to pay attention more.

@@Unicornpirate Maou s2000 is the white one with the HKS super charger. Z mentioned the J's racing S2000. Two entirely different cars. I watched every hot version/best version video several times for years.

@@TheBb6prelude J's S2K is also Maou. I have all the DVD's and watched them several times as well. The white one you are talking about is the Arvou S2K. Zygrene mentioned the bodykit on this car being the J's Racing and he is referencing the J's Demon King S2K.

This is the first car I've seen that Z is struggling with the Corning speed of a car. Even more than the tuned GTR and other fast cars.

well s2k benefit greatly from sc becuase of the low end torque and it still operates like a s2k..

Man, driving a caged car on the road is a...bold move. You basically just took a track car and drove it on the street. I guess it makes you appreciate what the Hot Version guys were doing, with properly setup street cars, designed for the street.

atom.. but if you can get a s2k way under price you can supercharge and tune for way cheaper.. and have tons of fun.. but the atom is faster

No side windows, you probably screwed your aero and lost more speed due to drag then the weight saved. Everything is are legit choices though and was done right on this car. Wisefab alone is like $8-10K for all the corners.
