Nothing as per say i ‘reccomend’ but: setting it up correctly is massively important. You need to have your field weakening and speedref correct to maximise the potential of your bike and also the battery specs must be taken into account when choosing your displayed range settings. If you head over to the nucular website and click support you will see a telegram chat link. Once you are on that speak to my friend ‘silvan’ he set my controller up and pushes the limits of the P24F unlocking crazy features. He actually set the record for 31KW on P24F and can actually send you a file with all the settings pre selected on it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I swapped to my 72v after this and it ran 18kw fine no issues. I might make a video but everything is different depending on how much you weigh, your gearing, your tires your chain type ect. You have to play around and find what works best for you. Mx3 motor will take 250a of field weakening and you have to make sure you set correct speed reference for the field weakening to start at. Im now running my mx3 with a sotion motor and 72v 55ah battery at 25kw 👍🏻

I’m super torn what I should I purchase. Sur ron x Talaria mx3 or mx4, or an ultra bee I’m looking to get highest speed and range with modifications obviously. I’ll do a lot of street riding but also trail riding too. So I really want a street/trail bike with jumping capabilities. I just don’t know mate - what do you think?

Light bee is ok but very delicately build out of the box and requires more beefing up = more cost. So I would go for an mx3 or ultra bee, the mx4 is just an mx3 with some budget upgrades which need throwing out anyway and the motor is less capable of higher speeds. Find a used mx3 and swap out the controller, battery, suspension wheels and brakes, can all be done if you stay basic for less than £6000 in total as you can sell the battery, controller, charger and forks it comes with and even wheels if you wish. To get the equivalent range and speed on the ultra bee would take approx £4500 in mods for controller and battery (brakes snd suspension is already fine) then plus the bike cost so lets say on a good day £9500. I’m about £14000 on my talaria now in terms of value but some parts were free for the channel so lets say i’ve spent £10000 of my own money. Starting again I would probably go with an ultra but they are cop magnets so watch out on that regard. If you want any parts such as forks, controller, wheels, pegs ect. I dont run a 72v on my sting, i run a 60v 63ah aftermaket battery. I run a 72v on my surron though. Top speed are the same the voltages are just different. Both swt to 15kw will exceed 70mph on a long straight 👍🏻👍🏻

Its more efficient so yes will be a slight range increase if you run it at the same power as stock but adding 30% power will result in 30% less range likely. Its all relative

You’re running too much power that you trip your battery’s bms as its detecting over current you need to lower your power :)

Hey B,S&G! I already write a comment on a old video, I was waiting for the Torp controller to finalise my talaria but I feel the update for the mx3 will never come so I saw this controller. I don't know anything for setting a controller and the display doesn't looking good for me... My english is too bad to understand all you say so I have a question. To set the controller it will be ok with search on Facebook group but can I set the controller and take off the display after or we need to keep it on? Thanks if you answer, love your videos 🤘

You can remove the display after you Set it up all settings are saved on controller But you dont have any Info About your battery voltage or % Or motor Temperatur Not about what speed you are riding And you dont know in witch Mode you are this controller has 3 modes you can change Like eco, drive and Sport And lot of more Infos you can get when you want There will come a App for the controller so you can use you Phone as a Display and you can change settings on Phone I have this app and Bluetooth Modul For nucular for testing But the Phone would be a bigger Display 😅 I love the display and will keep it on the bike and keep my Phone safe in the pocket 😅

Yes you do not need to use display in order for the controller to work once you have tuned it. For mx3 this is best and favourite controller on the market. I recommend it over competitors for your MX3.

@davi5music521 when they are standard both are slow and need lots of parts to upgrade there is no advantage to either unless you plan to keep stock in myopinion. I can buy brand new mx5 for $3300 imported to uk. For mx3/mx4 i would pay no more than £2300-2500 used market for stock bike. If you use seller on alibaba they have great reviews and track record you can probably buy mx4 brand new $2700 or less shipped to your door in europe or usa

No mate never had that issue! Some of my buddies have and usually that means the hall sensor in the motor has gone bad!

@michaelsalmon9055 well good question! As i say in video the mx4 motor is a bit limited in terms of capabilities for top speed so in my opinion i would do the battery, get a 60v 63 ah. You cant take the ah rating as the full picture as the stock battery shows 0% left at 54v. The aftermarket shows 0% at 48v. So although you may think its only a 150% change it actually doubles your range. Then in future if you want to change the controller and motor you can still run 13/14/15kw and with new motor then you get better top speed

They arent ‘universal’. Settings are based on your throttle, battery and personal preferences. I also no longer use this controller but I used a domino throttle, 15kw 60v battery and had it set up pretty dull on the throttle. Head over to the nucular telegram group chat. My buddy silvan tuned me he can tune you too.

My mx3 will do 100mph on the stand (where the kw rating is worthless as 10kw can max out motor RPM when there is no load) you could see my free wheel speed of 100mph on the display when I went to my trip computer in the video, turning my power down 30% still results in the same free wheel top speed, thats the difference in motor RPM. 28% higher unloaded top speed limit than your mx4. If we apply this 28% you have just illustrated to the different motor max rpm limits i explained in the video you will see they perfectly line up - 8000rpm mx4 motor + 28% = mx3 motor peak rpm of 10000. This is information listed on the UK talaria parts website under the motors as they both have their max rpm shown in the specs. Again, if we apply this same 28% increase over the 57mph gps actual speed the sting R reaches at its maximum rpm on the nucular on a 72v you come to my max actual speed which is 73mph 👍🏻 Your statement helps show my point as the free wheel speed relies only on max rpm rather than power. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻 appreciate the comment If you look on my channel a bit further back I was sent the TC500 by torp to test a few months back on my 72v surron so I do have experience with the TC500 and all the different motors 👍🏻 Torp and nucular cannot change the max rpm of the motor and will have similar realistic top speeds, although the field weaking on the torp only allows up to 100a whereas the nucular will allow 150a for the mx4 👍🏻
