u must have tried patching the wrong game then. SMW hacks u need original SMW rom, Mario Bros hack u need Mario Bros original file, etc.

I've been using Lunar ISP for years and only lately my it's been saying, "This patch is not intended for this ROM" even though I've been using the same Super Mario World original ROM for years, frustrating and don't know what to do.

Is it totally necessary to assign it to an emulator as I'm going to be playing them on retroarch on my vita and will probably have to try them out with different cores so see which runs best?

You can patch anything as long as the rom is the correct rom for the patch. Like a NA patch only works with a NA rom, EU Patch only works with EU rom, JA patch only works with JA Rom (america, europe & japanese)

It keeps saying not intended for this rom and I use the actual mario 64 rom and it worked but when I try it again for a different rom hack it always says not intended, I deleted the original that work and now that one says it's not intended for the rom. I need help!

This was meant for SNES games..... IDK what program to use for the N64, but if you go to Rom Hacking . Net then they have a few tutorials for different consoles

Putting the rom hack on a SD card is just like playing it on a PC emulator
