I live in California, they just passed a new law January 1st, that if your exhaust is modified in anyways it’s a $1,000 fine and it’s not a correctible offense. I had no idea this was even on the books, I was shocked!!! The reasoning is to cut down on the illegal racers blah blah, just the stupidest thing I ever heard!!! I’m still gonna mod my exhaust and enjoy my cars, but I think the whole community around the country should know about this, there is a petition everyone is signing. CA man geez!! I need to get out of here!!!

By the Time you do that, might as well buy a Audi R8, but realistically LS would be the way to go, Small compact engine that makes plenty of power. You could buy a 4.8 or 5.3 for $7-800, add a supercharger and make +700-1000hp E85 and when shit breaks, parts a very cheap.

@bmxriderforlife12343 жыл бұрын
If they do have carbon body kit it'd be like 66k or more for the full carbon body. Few grand gets you carbon vents and stuff. But even full on with that brake upgrades carbon rims suspension upgrades and such you could probably get in with a nicer tranny and a decent ls or even an exotic for not too much. And less then alot of other exotics. Carbon body would cut weight. Meaning even less hp needed. Realistically even for a done build around 2600 pounds. You need less then a thousand to beat many cars going for over 300 thousand and contend with some cars costing millions. Big rubber traction control in the form of launch control and maybe after market traction control. But you could probably get it closer to a track car weight with all the street car features easily with a carbon body kit. Even with heavier engine options. If you did the right transmission work or got a Ricardo 260mph is possible in the slc. But it deffs be possible to get the unfinished carbon fiber option since it's basically fully custom body panels. Probably gonna do it for mine once I get other shir out the way. Pretty much decided I'm gonna end up building one of these. If the merc v12 fits. Then I basically have a Pagani self built. Vw w12 could fit. Easier to get a vw version cheap but same motor in Bentleys. Built toyota v12s exist. So some work is done already. Benz v10 has been done. Or maybe it was a BMW. Either way. May require some custom work but with the weight it doesn't need alot of power to compare to monsters. Even gaining weight on a swap. 700 to the rear wheels would be fast. Done right build the motor to handle boost. Keep it low and relatively tame there but boost controller down the line. Keep it easy on the engine stuff and use an ls and a good budget build for power and even with a carbon body kit I'd bet it could be done for 120k. Ls3 7k. Super charger and turbo kit for it. Could probably do the whole motor for around 14k. Think it's like 10k for a Ricardo or so used and rebuilt. Little cheaper for a Graziano. 48 for the kit or so. Say 66 for the carbon kit. And that'd probably be good for 1000hp plus twin charged bragging rights and no turbo lag. Or just super or just turbo. If you do a junkyard good condition block really cheap engine wise. So maybe a bit more all brand new but yeah 120 would be possible but hard. But under 150 easily 170 with super nice interior and extra shit plus probably some help with putting it together professionally and getting it dialed In. And be able to work up to that. Build it. Get the carbon body down the line. That's what I'm gonna do I think. Get it road legal built and running and reliable. Then carbon body kit. Figure out the color scheme for real paint with exposed raw carbon sections. Something I can dip or wrap over. Carbon rims. Inconel self built exhaust. Ti hardware wherever grade 8 bolts are needed. Aluminium wherever I can manage. Widest rubber in the rear I can fit with the grippiest tires lol. Think the one after market ecu I want to use that works for like every engine also offers traction control and launch control with the ability to turn it on and off. Ways to put a race level dual clutch. But sequential would be a in-between. But yeah lol even going all out with like full on expensive race bar bits. You could keep it cheaper then many branded super cars and faster to top speed but maybe beaten out by the Bugatti for top speed. And be easier to service and cheaper to service. With a race heritage. Plus since you need to see about mods if you do any and body mods getting the carbon done after seems smarter to me. Might also be able to find carbon places to do it cheaper. But that's what they charge on the rcr gt car for a carbon body.

Cool car... I get it and all to have a really unique car... but I mean Jesus with 1/3rd that price you can build a lighter much faster MR2 Spyder or something. Or an Exocet.
@GearheadDaily4 жыл бұрын
Theres no way an MR2 is faster than this. The slc has set track records.
@TheArtofBoxing1014 жыл бұрын
@@GearheadDaily Just saying it's sure as hell possible to make em as fast with waaaaaaaaaay less money... you should see some of the MR2s in Japan.
@GearheadDaily4 жыл бұрын
... as fast... for a 1/3? As you said.... for $20k, you can make an MR2 faster than an SLC... is that literally what you just said?
@TheArtofBoxing1014 жыл бұрын
@@GearheadDaily For 20k I'll make it faster.
