I think the actor looks great, and that's probably because he resembles Henry a lot. So, I'm glad they at least got the look of the actor right. I like the color of the suit. I thought I would miss the trunks when Man of Steel was first announced, but after seeing it in action, and I don't miss them at all. I really don't see a reason for it, other than Gunn is saying " See, we are bringing it back to the light hearted Superman." It is my fear they are giving this the Force Awakens treatment. But, I want it to succeed, because it's Superman and I would hate for this to bomb and we don't see Superman on screen for another 10 years. I just hope it's not a case of " be careful what you wish for" and because many people didn't like Snyder's take on Superman, Gunn is going to go hard on boy scout Superman. I cannot count how many people didn't care for Superman until Man of Steel. Just go watch reaction channels of them watching MOS, Bvs and ZSJL. There are so many people that say " I didn't like Superman until this movie." I live just outside Cleveland, and was lucky to be an extra for The Avengers and Winter Soldier when they both filmed in Cleveland. I was eager to submit my application as an extra for Superman. That is until I started hearing and seeing more about the production, WBD’s practices, JG’s comments regarding the superhero genre, etc. I decided to pass on submitting my application when I saw what they were going to pay the extras; $12 per hour, with no mention of providing meals for a minimum 8 hour day whilst filming in NE Ohio during July. Needless to say, after seeing these new photos from the set, I’m glad I won’t be embarrassed. Every aspects of this movie screams “cheap.” I feel bad for those in the cast and crew whose passion and true dedication to this project won’t be fully appreciated. As for the suit, it is reminiscent of the costumes you’d see performers wear at Six Flags, WB World, or the Marvel park at Islands of Adventure in Orlando. The costume is, in a word, forgetful. Television-level production quality on the big screen. It does not showcase the hard work Corenswet put into building his physique for this movie. This suit does not represent power, strength, or confidence, but rather laziness, bland, and unimaginative. Not to mention the red trunks (which so many purists demanded) only emphasize how dated that element is to the overall aesthetic. If this movie does make it to theaters, I already anticipate WB selling the DC property and IPs to someone else. The fact Gunn won’t be appearing at SDCC only furthers my negative predictions for the future of WB Discovery. Time for Plan B: bring back Snyder!

Love the SUIT!!! A member of the Film Crew said there will be NO Bunching of the Costume when you see the Film. & The Red Trunks MAKES Superman!!! For 70 Years he had Trunks, just cant take em away. He looks ridiculous without Trunks, the Red Trunks brakes up the Blue & Brightens up Sups.

Exactly as I said. The suit looks EXACTLY like the same kind of suit the Suicide Squad was wearing in Gunn's film. Cheap and rubbery. I mean look at it, it looks exactly like Javelin's suit, just repainted with the Superman colors. This is Gunn's approach for superhero costumes. Just cheap, colorful rubber. The "real DC fans" will eat it up, no matter how cheap it looks.

What a complete disappointment the suit is, not at all what I expected given what James Gunn has been alluding to. I expected a tweaking of the classic suit but nothing this drastic and impractical. Glad that Supergirl is going to have a part in the Superman & Lois final season.

The person said that he was simply told by a crew member, “when you see it in the film, there won’t be any creases or bunching.” There is nothing there about post production. He could just be referring to lighting. Or, he could just be running his mouth and doesn't know what he's talking about.

The true costumes were on Cavill and the previous Superman. New 52 may have been my favorite style of Superman along with his suit, but even the previous Superman look great compared to this disasterfest.

With a budget as big as it has, what is it going to? The actors aren’t in high demand, so their salaries can’t be that large. The suit looks cheap or rehashed. Maybe on film it will be cleaned up, like Reeve’s was. He had many suits to hide creases and folds. But this suit looks cheap. Cavill’s had deep designs, such as Kryptonian writing in it. His looked alien. And it also looked like it was drawn on him, showing his physique very clearly. Cornswet put the gym work in and they’re hiding him. I don’t know. Maybe it will be good in the end, but from these appearances, it’s not promising

So I live in Cleveland. I’ve gone to our downtown to watch some of the filming. Unfortunately I never got to see Superman. However I had the same concerns about the suit bunching up as everyone else has. I asked a crew member that I met at a local coffee shop right outside of the filming area about the suit concerns. He smiled and said, “when you see it in the film, there won’t be any creases or bunching”. Hopefully he’s right. We shall see.
