Many people know the Superman monologue from "Kill Bill", which I don't even slicly agreed. He is Clark Kent, first and foremost. I think when one handle the character, has to see the world true the eyes of a farmboy from Kansas. When I watched "Man of Steel" or "Superman Return" I feel we have a distance from the protagonist. However in Hoechlin's Clark the audiance don't feel that way.

There's an important line that you guys may have missed! When in the fortress, Edge claims he reached out to Clark as a brother, as a kryptonian, etc to which Jor El exclaims "He is none of those things!" While it's possible that this was a throwaway line, I think there could be more to it.

I can't wait until July 13th for the return of Superman and Lois, this is the first time that I have truly loved a CW superhero show. But anyway here is my prediction I think that Clark and Lois have planned his out to make Tal-Ro think he's gotten the under hand and we'll see flashback in upcoming episodes of how the come back with a well crafted plan of attack on Tal-Ro. I agree that there is a plan. But I think what they didn’t plan for was Tal finding out about Lois and the boys. So Clark had to deviate from the and submit to save his family and give the plan time to work. I was also wondering if the Kryptonite virus that gave to Jordan is part of that plan.

I love them filling in the moments from the opening episode. Love them also referencing Superman Smashes the Clan. This episode was such an amazing way for them to fill the backstory while also advancing the plot.

I love that they changed it and no love triangle between Lois and Superman and Clark. She was in love with Clark from the start. Interesting that Jor-El said everything Edge was saying was a lie. So maybe he really isn't a half brother but he was lied to also. Love the parallel between the two getting their fortresses.

My favorite "twist" of this show concept is that most of the Superman shows and films focus on the fathers/sons dynamic, Jonathan/Clark, Jor-El/Kal-El, to a degree Kal-El/Clark/Jason, and this one has leaned more on the one between brothers, both Jon/Jordan and Kal/Tal while still showing the difference father's can have. Jor-El nurtured, Zeta-Rho twisted.

My big question is about the eradicator. Lara reprogrammed it to remove the kryptonian consciousnesses from the hosts. How will that come into play down the line as a possible fake out for Tal-Rho and his father.

Lara could have also permanently removed the Eradicator device's ability to implant a Kryptonian consciousness into another body. She did not create the technology for that purpose and was horrified it was being used to supplant another race of people.

Jordan Elyass in an interview said the ending scene when Clark came to Jonathan’s football practice dressed in a hat and heavy coat, the same outfit Clark wore when he first took Jordan to the Fortress, was his dad coming to take him too. But they should of had Clark hold up a heavy jacket for Jonathan then it would have been clear why he was there.

Always awesome to see Supes' origin. The villain in the flashbacks was based on several nods: called 'Atom Man' (from one of the Superman serials) and the motive (from the story, Superman smashes The Klan). The ending was very sad. Other than that, great episode.

A few things! When did John Henry slip Lois his number and will make an appearance in his Steel Suit? Can the argument be made on John Henry Earth. That Superman may have been married to Lonna since Lois was married to John? Could Superman still be recovering and the Eradicator is show Superman and audience his greatest failure? Will Clark be able to fix the crystal to be able to get Jor-El AI back?

Jonathan implied John had been sleeping on their couch, but he could've given them his number at any time or Gen Lane could've given him a secure cell phone in order to maintain contact. I don't think you can "fix" a crushed crystal. Unless there's a backup somewhere, like in the Eradicator, Jor-El might be gone.

Honestly, as much as i really like this origin story for this version of Superman, i think i still prefer how Man of Steel (2013) potrayed his backstory; it honestly feels much more realistic and his first flight scene was pretty great in terms of the music and visuals
