Superman is a battery, the Sun doesnt just make him immortal. Without sufficient downtime he can be drained, he can be physically outmatched, and a plethora of other ways he can be defeated. Also Plastic Man exists, which requires none of the above, he can simply just suffocate superman.

As long as Bazarro Doomsday eventually moephs into the bone pertruding indiscriminite killing machine we all know the beastie for than MAYBE The show can end one an absolute win. Gotta remember BEFORE Superman took the battle to it's climactic conclusion, Doomsday killed an absurd lika A whole damn LOT of people and destroyed about 20-30% of the US East Coast before reaching Metropolis in the final showdown havingthe fight actually drag out over a few episodes would be comic book accurate also having ANYONE from the justice league show up and try to buy time would also be lore accurate even if it's just for a few minutes of screen time .
