What I really like about Tyler playing Superman is how the writer’s write in situations where Supes has to THINK. He doesn’t rely on brute strength or his abilities in general, but each situation is a bit more complex. This is a great series. Tyler rocks.

Personality wise, I completely agree with u, and I very much admire how the production team has handled the character with such a limited budget. I even like the suits, even though they aren't of the highest quality. However, physically, I don't think Tyler is a good fit. I mean he is handsome, and he definitely works out, but to me, Superman should be taller, have brighter blue eyes (Tyler's are green and they're digitally colored blue for close ups), and forgive me for saying it, but be a little lighter skinned too, with perhaps more wavy hair as well. That being said, Tyler's performance is so great that I can easily ignore all of that. I'll greatly miss having him as Superman. Hopefully if they ever go the multiverse route again, he gets a well deserved cameo.

I feel like people should credit sound design a bit more, like sure everyone is like "oh amazing CGI" and what not, but the sound design of this show as a whole is nutty. It SOUNDS and FEELS heavy, each and every single bit is always so good and just beyond anything else we've gotten from almost all CW Shows. I just can't help but love it.

Dude I agree but just remember this, the only reason Superman is not fast on earth is because the environment is his limit. If he goes any faster, the same scenario happens if a meteor enters the atmosphere except a meteor burns out, Superman doesn't, this would cause nuclear reaction that would litterly destroy the plannet. In commics it is show that superman was able to travel from the source wall to earth an 0.3 milliseconds. There is currently no being that matched that speed, not even flash. this is more than six tillion the times of light. Superman doesn't have a speed cap. Only environment limitations

Interesting thing is according to some of the writers Superman hears the sound as it's being made at its origin with no need for the sound waves to travel to his eardrums, this almost makes his hearing sort of a psionic power sort of akin to knowing who's going to call you before the phone even rings.

@@500perjmat No, his hearing is nothing like spider sense. Spiderman's sense is a cosmic ability. It comes from Madame Web who can see the futures of all the Spidermen/women and who's responsible for their powers. So spider sense is a sort of branching ability of that where it allows them to have precognition of danger. Super hearing is just that, it's super hearing. Spiderman doesn't "hear" anything more than he feels it.

I like this show a lot. The only real gripe I have is how 'gritty' Superman looks He always needs a shave and the costume is a bit on the dark side. The colors could be a little crisper without going over the top. Other than that, I have no complaints. The acting, writing, FX and sound are all good. I am looking forward to next season.

This is one of the many reasons I love this show. It was so well acted,written, directed and above all us understood supes. Showing how powerful the man of steel really is. Also, it still gives me goosebumps, Clark/supes going into the sun to recharge and allow parasite to sap him of his energy only to get overloaded. Then he just yeets her. Not only is it a crying shame that this show is getting the axe and while getting one more season, its budget was robbed, but it is crimminally underrated.

I will always love Christopher Reeve.. my generation's Superman, but we have so many excellent actors doing amazing things.. I really like Superman returns and the solid performance of Routh. I love Dean Cain's very accessible version of Clark Kent/Superman in the 1990s, he cleans his boots on his kitchen table, falls madly in love with Lois, has a fine sense of humor. etc .. Henry Cavill's Superman which emphases his other worldliness and isolation as a scion of an ancient technologically advanced species... this one, where Superman has to balance family life with his Superman duties..a real super-feat. Even Smallville's melodramatic and more adolescent version, the convoluted Superboy of Welling is very interesting, though i wish he had actually BECOME Superman and wore the cape, at least by the time he graduated.. It's all good.

I really like how they seemed to have portrayed Superman as powerful as he really is in this series. I haven’t actually sat down & watched this show yet, just seen clips & scenes on KZbin here etc.. but it seems like they didn’t nerf him for plot or anything at all! From what I’m seeing they didn’t down play his powers one bit. He really seems to be the most powerful non-animated iteration of Superman we have ever seen on screen yet, & I really dig that!.. just seeing that they made him as OP as possible in this show makes me really want to watch it all the more now. No nerfing here.. lol just all hype!
