I have never been more excited about this movie than I am after watching this trailer! I love that you can grasp the basic story as well as the tone. For all my appreciation of Man of Steel, this trailer and movie seem to have the one fundamental element of Superman that the previous movie was utterly lacking: hope and optimism. The phrase "You will believe a man can fly" has never felt more tangible. And it looks like Lois figures out Clark's identity in this movie, which is really nice. AND THE MUSIC!!!!

Personally, for me the parts that get me are the kids. Between the little girl getting shielded from danger, to the kid in the warzone callling out for him, we're reminded why he's a hero. Honestly, even if the whole movie sucks, i will watch this trailer on repeat just for that.

Is anyone else hoping they do some kind of prequel comic to introduce us to these versions of the characters in the movie? I think it’s quite a common thing for superhero films like this, and it’d help introduce a universe where these characters are established and known to the world. Anyway, I really enjoyed your reaction video, and the trailer itself has grown on me a lot since I first saw it (I’d probably rate it around 7.5 out of 10 at the moment).

All you young ppl..I was there for waiting in line for every Star Wars, Superman:The Movie, Spider-Man..when John Williams started laying the foundation of a musical legacy that will never be one-upped. (Mr Williams is a super nice guy too..) I’m thinking rather than go through the minutiae of Superman as an individual or origin, Gunn decided to immerse ppl in a fully fleshed out universe. Great to see Krypto (bet animal licensing will get a lot of dogs named Krypto this year..) I hope they do Superman justice…
