Superman was just focusing his rage at whatever caught his attention. Like how he focused his rage on the joker (literally lmao) he was just focused on screwing Bruce over as hard as possible. No other rational thought was at play there. He regrets it minorly later on, but by then, and with the arrival of the next threat, he had long since lost his humanity. Regret meant squat by that point. Even if it was a dream by (whatever remained of Clark) I like to think of that dream sequence as if time rewinded for a second chance and a happy ending here. Where the league was able to call off Clark in time to save Lois, Batman was finally able to find the courage to end Joker, while still setting himself in jail as a check and balance. The city, in response, only ‘slapped him on the wrist’, giving him only 2 years in exchange for every ‘crime’ they had on Batman. No, it wasn’t perfect, but everything was lined up to be better eventually. Because the league never broke up, ‘Diana’ never was free to manipulate everyone. The Joker being gone was one massive headache finally relieved for Batman, I forget if Damian killed Dick before or after the Joker dying (autocorrect changed it to dieting. Lmao sure) but if it was before, Bruce has time in jail to process, and would be able to handle the situation better after, than how they were before, where Damian was dogged on by ‘Superman’, and Bruce was in permanent him vs the league, Damian being part of the league just meant he permanently saw him as the enemy instead of his messed up confused son.

Also, it's not just their loved ones and their weaknesses that are on Batman's files. He has their psychological profiling, too. He knows how they think, as well as how to manipulate them. Plus the multiple contingency plans, like the virus he uploaded to Cyborg's systems. Releasing Batman's files to the public may not immediately threaten the Justice League, but it would give them more of a fighting chance than just handing them a bunch of green pills. You're leading an army to Earth, and, they know you're not going out for blood, what are they going to lose, killing non-combatants as hostages or mass murder!? If Superman is Earth's first line of defense, he's got to be able to make tough decisions, like, in war, you do have to kill! Even Batman, who's against killing, knows that sometimes, it's unavoidable! Sorry if I was rambling there!

And here is the best part: it was Batman who escalated already bad situation in Injustice. He decided to abduct Hawkgirl. He decided to put Martian Manhunter as a spy. Which sure gave him opportunity to learn about green pills and stuff. But he would know about it anyway if he would just stay in Justice League. Or if Manhunter would join it. But no, he abducted her, Martian Manhunter decided to make a point by showing how he can kill Wonder Woman and got a sick burn from Superman. And what Batman did next? He decided to raid fortress and was taken by absolute surprise by finding Kents there. So-called greatest detective did nto figure out that this is where Superman would hide parents for protection after abduction. So-called greatest detective did not figure out that Captain Atom may have an orders to kill Superman. So-called greatest detective did nto figure out that brining Green Arrow on such mission is not a great idea and Green Arrow died while accidently wounding Kent. So Caprain Arom died while trying to kill Superman, Marthian Manhunter and Green Arrow died from his hands... You can only imagine just how bad such situation screwes up moral compass. It was even nuking of Metropolis that broke Superman, not it was even death of Lois and thier child. This was a moment when he broke up.
