@@keemerbecks3941 Yes. Superman has ignored magic blasts that would vaporize a human and withstood blasts that can vaporize buildings. He tanks them and remarks about how much it hurts. He's been struck by lightning and said it tickled. Being struck by a nuke caused him to "feel awful" for a few minutes back when he was still relatively young in Post-Crisis. He did not enjoy it at all, but it didn't hurt him either. BA's lightning would have to be magic lightning (which it is) but it still wouldn't be enough to wreck Supes. Make him feel the pain? Definitely, but not wreck him.

When you do these versus match ups, especially with two characters that has history of battling each other, you got to go to the comic books. You'll find both Superman & Black Adam are equally matched, giving Superman a slight edge because he's Superman. And also Cal El often on several occasions has to employ Shazam to help take down Black Adam. We get caught up in the movie versions simply because it's action, thus use that as Canon, when in fact, all of these characters, abilities, wins & losses comes off the pages of those who created these characters in the first place.

Superman is physically superior but the magic lightning is somewhat the equalizer. Essentially, the magic is the only thing that gives Adam any hope of truly damaging Supes and not just flinging him around into, what Supes has called in the comics, “a world made of cardboard”. Supes will probably initially be surprised by the damage of Adam‘a lightening, but he will adapt. I actually liked the movie’s depiction of Black Adam. He’s the dark side of Justice. I’m more interested in Shazam vs Black Adam, and I have a feeling this Black Adam will be more good than most of the comic depictions.

Now if we compare the movies alone. Batman vs Superman, zsjl, man of steel. To black Adam? Do you really see a significant strength and speed difference? Don’t talk about comics. He is wrong because BA lighting would never come close to SM, in fact SM could literally watch the lighting attack for a year in SM time before he reacts and it would still be just happening in BA fastest time. Understand, SM crossed to the edge of the universe and back in 60 days. BA took 5,000 years just to return from being banished to a distant star. That is a disparity that is way to fast to overcome. And I'm not a SM fan, I actually have never liked his character in the movies or comics. But the speed is just too wide of a gap to really have this conversation.

I think the fight will be decided on the first few seconds and not by any physical characteristics. Superman has shown significant reservation when it comes to killing people outright. He'll do it if necessary, but he tries not to. This means not only is he going to be unwilling to strike a lethal blow initially, he's also going to be holding back significantly so as to avoid doing so accidentally. Black Adam on the other hand is more than willing to lethal up without a second thought. Assuming Superman isn't expecting this it gives Black Adam a brief but critical opening to strike a decisive blow before Superman realizes he can't hold back and commits himself fully to the fight. The question I think is CAN Black Adam in fact deal a lethal blow to Superman? Black Adam is exceptionally strong even for a super, that's certainly true. But I don't think he's strong enough to deal lethal damage on the scale necessary to defeat Superman in what would likely be his only fair shot in the fight.

This is one of the best explanations from the narrator in many of his battle videos. He really thought this through and convinced me at the end of the day that Superman should not be underestimated against magic. I have a DC comic from the 70s, and Superman is on a huge table restrained by magic. His sheer force of will broke the table and magic binding him. That is beyond impressive.

In their meetings in the animated and comics, Black Adam was able to hurt Superman with the use of magic, but it was always widely accepted that Superman was overall stronger, and not by a small margin. Superman nearly always held back in fights. The only time he went full out was against Darksied in the animations, and he wound up kicking the crap of Darksied when he went full bore mode.

@@vr4892 superman died not really. Since his body has powers and is invulnerable you need a power source so you can trigger his Regeneration. A corpse from them is invulnerable to. So to cremate a kryptonian you need kryptonite or a red sun witch means if the body is intact and you trigger the regeneration like in the movies your good to go.

Kal-El didn't know who he was, who the people were around him, he was responding on instinct and rage. That's just bad writing if you're trying to set up the fight of the ages and starting it off by letting the fans know that one of the guys could win at any time. It would have had more impact if Bruce was just about to run Clark through with the spear and that is when he says ' I could have ended it when we started but I don't want to kill you it's just they have Martha....' because then the fight would have seemed more perilous for those 5-10 minutes.

Obviously, I am picking Superman. However, it would not be a walk in the park for the man of steel. At first, he would be restrained in the battle until he realizes that Black Adam can pack a heck of a wallop. Once Superman realizes this, he would not hold back. Comic book history has shown that an unrestrained Superman is too powerful to deal with.

first thing I like how you are actually being a professional and dissecting all the information second thing I googled what does Superman's laser vision weaken him and this is what Surprisingly, one of the biggest flaws when it comes to heat vision is more of a drawback for Superman. If he ever truly let loose with his laser vision, it could wind up blinding him or sapping him of all the strength in his body.

@@santonanderson5466 "Weak" means that the target would take extra damage from the element. "Vulnerable" (unfortunately) just means that the enemy won't absorb/gain health from the element. You'll still take action against enemies that are immune to the element however and potentially waste attacks.Feb 15, 2018 As I said there's a slight difference maybe this will help baseball bat or not. Superman may be just a bit stronger then black Adam but they have always been implied to be similar in strength and power in the comics with black adams magical abilities and kill first mentality equaling out the playing field. His body was in water right before they brought him back to life. His body was glissening from that water right at the start of the fight even before the lasso touched him. Actually Superman is vulnerable to magic so it affects him like it affects normal humans. Black Adam and Shazam are champions of magic who are resistant to it- theiir superhuman toughness still works against magical attacks, weapons and creatures. Magic can still hurt them, but not easily. When Superman and Shazam teamed up fighting demons in First Thunder, Superman was having a harder time because of his vulnerability to magic. In the Flashpoint Paradox animated movie, Wonder Woman tried to stab Captain Thunder (the Shazam kids superhero form) with her magical sword and it broke. That same sword cuts right through Superman's skin because his invulnerability doesn't work against magic.

Personally as a Writer, in my opinion, Black Adam’s Wisdom and Courage is what leds him the victories from other beings he faced that could prove impossible to others. He has the wisdom to exploit weaknesses and the intellect to solve problems that others could not, while his courage can make him a very difficult combatant to face, and you will not leave the battle unscathed. In Superman’s eyes, he has to earn his victory against Black Adam, and his courage alone is what keeps him coming.

I do believe Superman is shifting the plates using his whole body like a clean and jerk lift (mostly legs) and not using arm strength. There are reports of human lifting feats of 3000 lbs and 6270 lbs but I doubt someone could "punch" those objects any distance. So I don't think the measurement of destroying a country with a punch should be based on the plate shift.

Like the strength comparison are not accurately done. The are even Adam has the advantage with LANY which would definitely hurt soon report on him I don’t see him powering through that and on top of that unlike superman black Adam was shown healing himself regenerating so what he really needs to start doing when the characters are this close in stamina durability strength as he needs to look at and only at the outliers the outlier is that black Adams power was better than superman‘s his regeneration ability is better than superman‘s superman however if he can make it to the son that’s a huge deal things like that I wish you determine the match not he lifted the titanic plates by blah blah because of newspaper said so nobody would’ve been able to see and witness him doing that that should not be included only things that are shown in the movie should be included furthermore and most importantly the last aspect that should be considered when they’re this close and power is fighting styles the way they fight because when I saw black Adam strong enough to really fucked up Superman

To lift something, the upward force must be greater than the weight. So lifting the tectonic plate you dont include just its weight to calculate superman's strength. Even then tou also you have to include the force to control the lifting so he doesnt cause more harm than good.

Dr Fate is literally as powerful almost to the level of Dr Manhattan. Only difference is that Dr Fate draws a lot of his powers from magical helmet and with a lot of magical spells. Dr Fate can also die from physical injuries since he is still a man. Think of Dr Fate and Dr Strange (Marvel) almost being similar with powers and magic. Dr Fate easily solo's all versions of Superman and Black Adam if we were to base Dr Fate upon his real feats.

As far as I remember, Superman weakness to magic just means that he doesn't have resistance to magic like some other heroes. What it means is basically, Superman can eat magic lightnings for breakfast becasue he can eat natural ones as well but affects like Charm would work on him like on any normal human being with strong will.

Superman is stronger but that is just due to how they were both “resurrected” superman was essentially super charged by the mother boxes which is an incalculable boost considering they can completely erase planets. Superman's greatest weakness is kryptonite. It wouldn't take long for Black Adam to find some and than it's over for Superman. However, Superman is also meant to be very intelligent and might find a way to trick Black Adam into saying Shazam and losing his powers. In the end, I would have to give this one to Black Adam.

Excellent point. BA is the power of several GODS, Supes is an alien. Power wise they are just about equal in terms of strength and speed. However, with wisdom of the Gods Adam will find kryptonite forge it into some sort of glove and punch it right through that big red S performing a non refundable heart transplant. @@Callumdevan17 This is how I see it. They get one aspect of a particular God, and those six aspects combine to form one powerful, and complete God. For example, the power of Zeus. This alludes to his lightning ability. But Zeus has many other powers, like omnipotence, super strength, and even super speed. He can also be in many places at once and can teleport. But Shazam only gets the lightning powers. Also, Zeus has been shown to be physically stronger than even the God of strength himself, Hercules, but Shazam doesn't have Zeus's strength, only his lightning, he has Hercules's strength though. Mercury, otherwise known as Hermes, has super speed, but he is known to have other powers too such as the ability to travel through dimensions (ie. Teleportation) and to carry souls to and from the underworld. Shazam and Black Adam only have the speed from him though. I suppose given all of their powers and their afinity for magic, they (Shazam/Black Adam) could develop/invent teleportation spells and other kinds of magic spells, but they probably never felt the need to since they were already so powerful, or maybe because they really haven't studied much on magic and simply relied on their "natural" gifts.
