But that's still borderline a weakness of his that still affects him. He might resist it a long time and even push through but damage is still damage (similar to Venom or Martian Manhunter). Jiren is definitely outplayed here, fight is between Superman and Surfer. Current Superman is extremely OP these days, he’s definitely Surfer’s superior in physicality plus equal speed if not slightly higher, problem is… Surfer’s Power Cosmic… is extremely versatile and has so many abilities, especially energy absorption, he did it with Hulk and permanently took away Bruce’s Gamma Radiation and only reason Hulk got is back was cause Surfer gave it back, he can do the same with Clark’s solar energy, and he can do so much more than just shoot cosmic lasers and absorb energy… Surfer is waaaaaay to versatile

@@Daniel-si7zp My problem with the assertion "stands no chance" against the Surfer is that Supe regularly goes up against Darkside who also has all the power in the book at an unprecedented levels and isn't shy at using them. Surfer has been regularly slapped and beaten by Thanos who is lesser in powers compared to Darkside. Worse yet is that Thanos perceived Gladiator as the most dangerous one of the defender team. Don't you think that its a downer on the side of the Surfer. He has all powers but has been regularly beaten by other powerhouses and Supe stand no chance? Yeah right... Once one is versatile in powers you guys just envision a must always win for that person. Not true!!!

@@richmanezihuo7214 the problem is not that Superman doesn’t stand a chance, he does, but Silver Surfer counters heavily most of Clark’s abilities, and he can drain his powers, Clark has a bad career with people stealing his powers, such as Parasite, Silver Surfer can drain Superman out of his solar energy faster than he can absorb, is literally the same thing for when Hulk and Silver Surfer fought. Hulk is of course much stronger than Silver Surfer, yet Surfer won by draining Hulk’s Gamma Radiation… permanently and Bruce became Hulk again cause Surfer gave Bruce the gamma back… is why I said that Superman is physically superior but you have no idea how power The Power Cosmic is and what is can do. Silver Surfer is sadly a huge counter to Superman

If you payed attention you'd be able to see that Goku didn't "stomp" anything, he went pretty even with him up to a certain point where he got the upper hand. Also, even with that Goku couldn't finish Jiren off due to his time limit and Jiren simply outlasted him with superior durability and endurance. Not to mention that it was later shown that Jiren, while weakened still had plenty of gas in the tank to give the remaining fighters trouble. It took 3 fighters to eventually take him down so yeah. Jiren never got "stomped" or lost either.

Dan makes generalizations based on feat scaling and not full analysis of these characters abilities. We've seen Superman tank attacks billions of times more powerful than being Smashed by two planets regardless of size, like Darkseid's Omega Beams which have been Known to fully erase people from existence, and take punches from beings like Doomsday who can punch his way out of the Phantom Zone, a place of infinite size and space. We've seen Superman Survive being in black holes and time being collapsed around him, and be completely fine. Superman Regularly fights Gods, two, three at a time, and the best feat you can use is him getting sandwiched between two ginormous rocks, which Dan even downgraded a little but not on purpose i think. Most of Surfers powers are irrelevant anyway for fighting, because most characters are too powerful at this level for cheap tricks like that to work. If turning people into fish or air or something silly like that did work, then he would use it more in fights, but when you're able to take magical attacks from Magicly amped up Bizzaro( Action Comics 1061) Or can straight up resist being changed by an Mxyptlk powered Joker (Superman: Emperor Joker 160) at least until joker tricked him into lowering his mental barriers (i.e. made him doubt himself) but then just popped right out of it moments later, then powers like those are pointless. He didn't use it against Thanos who took down Surfer and the rest of the Defenders single-handedly, nor against Thor and the multiple times they fought, or Ben Grim who near trounces Surfer almost every time they battle. Hell even normal humans like Black Panther and Dr. Doom, who are not really normal but definitely not cosmic beings like Surfer, and yet are still able to somehow put Surfer in the dirt, and those powers are suppose matter now?? I'm not even saying that Superman would beat surfer, definitely Jiren because, let's face it, DBZ characters are just vastly overrated anyway. But come on, if you're going to rate battles then at least use real feats and not just the same ones over and over again please. I mean, they do know that Superman comics are still on-going, Right?

I think silver surfer should probably end up winning a fight between him and Jiren while he does hold back a lot, I don’t think surfer is just gonna let Jiren beat up on him for the whole time and if he’s willing to go all out against characters like Thor, I don’t see why Jiren would be any different and one more problem is that surfer doesn’t have to go up close to win this fight even by your own logic. Surfer was way faster in travel speed even reaction speeds. It’s actually very likely he is faster. It’s also kind of likely he would just out last Jiren and because of the speed advantage, because based on what I heard from the video, it sounds like surfers reaction. Speed is faster than Jirens combat speed and the fact he can regenerate it really helps him here. It just makes me feel like Jiren will waste his energy or silver surfer will eventually be forced to use more powerful moves.

Have to strongly disagree with the durability conclusion. Yes i agree it can be fair to argue Jiren is pgysixally more durable however not really definetly arguable that its a maginutde more than Surfer. This isn’t even close to being the best Superman but; I guess you have to nerf him to make him comparable to Giren. How does Supes lose in a fight of speed when his perception is just as fast, if not faster, than his travel speed. If you can hold a book with infinite pages, technically you have infinite strength. Also, in the comic series “ Thanos Wins” you cannot tell me either baseline Supes or Giren defeats a ‘Worthy’ dark Surfer. Superman 1million outclasses them both but, Giren isn’t even in the conversation. If a laser gun one shots Goku, and Goku held his own against Giren’s blast, how does Supes heat vision not strong enough. He lobotomized a superhuman being through his retinas. Dragon Ball characters generally don't show a ton of physical strength feats. @@saverioaloi4907 Again, Superman doesn't have better speed feats than Silver Surfer. Ok, maybe in reflexes, but anything Superman has done speed-wise, SS has also done the same. And being resistent to something doesn't mean being immune to that stuff. Like sure, Superman has resisted matter manipulation...but he isn't immune to it and it will still cause him extra pain. Example, The Hulk is very resistent to telepathic attacks but he isn't immune to that (since Thanos has completely took over his mind). Plus, Superman doesn't have a clear way to beat Surfer aside from a flawless, long, drag-out fight where Surfer doesn't land one attack on him...which is clearly not gonna happen.

Oh, Fyi.. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS COMBAT SPEED! What you're referring to is a thing called combat reflexes, which is how fast someone can react to danger in a fight. Speed is universal, meaning it's the same whatever you apply it to. You can use it for anything, running, jumping, throwing a ball, anything that requires motion and if it's a trained response..ie fighting, then the faster you are, the better you are do it. So can Usain Bolt punch as fast as Bruce Lee, absolutely, maybe faster depending on physical advantages and having the right kind of training, but combat speed is not a thing.

If this was Silver Surfer Black (aka The Fallen) with Thor's Hammer then this would have been a wrap. Both Superman and Jiren would have to take them L's. The Fallen held his own against Two versions of Thanos, absolutely bodied the Cosmic Ghost Rider, and took a direct hit from the Hulk and didn't budge an inch when he was focused. In fact the only reason he got killed was due to his compassion and distraction from the Hulk.
