honestly I *still* can't get over how cool a move Center Stage is. It's been years and I don't think I've ever seen it in another game. Squig's two-hit tag in is also so satisfying. Fantastic bracket.

I love that in Skullgirls the fear of the reset and mix is so scary that when your getting hit you literally pick a direction to block and pray. An if your wrong thats a reset. It feels so dirty when it happens to you, but when your doing it to someone else you feel like a evil genius.

Like what. Valentine's bullshit orange needles aside I can't actually think of anything you can do in this you can't in other fighting games. Comboing into grabs, obnoxious ranged spam, restands, dhc's, armored normals, etc, its all been done before.

@@PopstarDracula the big one I can think of that's a literal "this mechanic isn't in any other game" would be Squigly's Center Stage, being both a normal that gives you a superflash and locking the screen for several seconds to both pull in the opponent and create a temporary corner.

@@PopstarDracula I wouldn't say that _every_ character can do things you wouldn't think were possible in other fighting games, but there's definitely a lot of uniqueness that Skullgirls brings to the table. Beowulf's Hype mechanic, Eliza + Sekhmet and Big Band's taunts into buffed supers are a few examples On top of that, what other game do you know lets you *PLAY MUSIC* before a hyper?

I got into Skullgirls way too late sadly, I liked playing Ms. Fortune or Squigly a lot but, I don't really like tag fighters and to boot, as I said; I joined the game late so it's just the gods who are left. Great game though. As someone who is not a fan of zoners...Peacock still haunts my nightmares.

You say only the gods are left, but really very few people in this bracket have been playing the game as long as it's been out. The guy who won this tournament has actually only been playing it competitively for about the last three years or so, and on top of that, he started winning with a team and Assist setup that was considered off-meta at the time. It's always just about the time and energy you put in, especially for a game like this.

I legitimately do not understand why anyone would bother playing such a pointless game. Unless you're literally godlike immediately, the game gives you exactly ZERO opportunities to understand what's going on. Chaos on screen, people that delight in smashing noobs, and no breaks in combos. It is literally a single player game for the people that play it and welcoming to no one. Hated this. Absolutely hated every person that just 2395823094582304935 combos their opponent. So glad this isn't the only fighting game.

This game us made reset heavy, you can get out of all combos by looking for the reset. If you get "one continous long combo" that's just you failing to get out of the reset 4-5 times
