@@kelseymccollam5148 While that might be part of it, kids are usually able to tell the difference between working and waiting around for the other parent to come home. With how much of a hissy fight he put up about feeding the kids, I'll bet it's pretty darn obvious to his children that he's just waiting around for mom.

This is why I am SO GRATEFUL (and I am NOT joking in ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM when I say this) that I come from a family of REAL men!!! BOTH of my brothers have ALWAYS given their partners 100% support when it comes to their careers RIGHTLY SO, PLUS they have ALWAYS AUTOMATICALLY pitched in with their fair share of the housework NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!! The same goes for my Dad, uncles and ALL my male cousins!!! Furthermore my partner was EXACTLY THE SAME when he was alive!!! In fact, to cut a long story short, I would NEVER associate with ANY male who did NOT live up to my expectations!!!

I am pregnant, still taking my daily ivf medicines for the first trimester, i work full time an office job leading two departments, i go on work trips every 2-3 months, i do the grocery shopping and get it delivered home, i do all the clothes shopping and getting handovers for our daughter, i prepare breakfast, i take the rubbish out, i cook dinner when i get home from work and clean dishes, i do the laundry, i organize the house.....he is a stay home dad, he takes wonderful care of his daughter but he doesn't do grocery shopping, he doesnt prepare meals, and he never ever organizes a thing, if something falls to the floor it will stay there forever until i pick it up. He says being a stay home dad is exhausting, i know it is, but he is not doing all what a stay home parent should be doing., i am doing both the work outside of the home and the work at home. I had to do this with my ex. It got so bad when I was running my own family day care business, I had no time to exercise, go out clothes shopping or time for myself for a bath or relaxation. I was so caught up in routines, portfolio building, checking KPIs, kitchen health and safety, baking snacks, menu planning. customers complaining about my hot taps being in the wrong position in the bathroom and laundry and a step to wash toddlers hands being unacceptable for toddlers as a toilet step was dangerous. I may have to show this with my daughter too. I will write all chores and tasks down. Just to show exactly what needs to be done by being an independent adult living independently.

Why do these men feel staying at home is just waiting for mom to come home and do everything? This episode is not the only one. There is also one where the dad drops his horrible kids at the mom's preschool where they attack other kids, and mom still has to do the laundry, cleaning and diner when they come home!

I believe in gender equality, if he wants to stay at home with the kids while his wife provides, that’s awesome, but he should take on the responsibility of being a stay at home parent, he should take care of the kids , cook the meals , and clean the house.

My mom's husband is like this and I hate him... He's not a stay at home dad but he's home basically all day smoking weed n playing videos...he works at night from ,5pm-10pm then comes back home complaining that someone ate dinner before him -_-. I never listen to his stupid self.

I would leave a man that's acting like this. If he isn't going to do anything to help, he doesn't get to be with his kids all the time. 1 weekend a month is all he'll get. I ain't risking my children being starved constantly.
