When I first saw Dean sitting there, I was like "Damn! He lost everybody! Sam, Cas, Bobby...He's all alone!" I'm glad they brought Cas and Bobby back, because if they had ended it with Dean being the only survivor, that would have been too heartbreaking to watch. And apparently, Sam's coming back soon as well.

I think it would have been a perfect ending if Cas turned out to be God and the whole thing was a test. Dean and Sam succeeded in changing their destiny and making the right decision(to sacrifice each other) were Micheal and Lucifer failed. It means God was there the whole time and would rap up nicely. I think a season 6 will be dissappointing

I think Chuck being God worked perfectly. What I do when watching this episode - and I watch it as the series finale - is I actually skip this scene. When a bloodied Dean is looking at the ground, I skip from that to Dean reuniting with Lisa. And when Chuck teleports away, that is the end. I think Castiel and Bobby sacrificing themselves and their deaths left intact makes for a meaningful conclusion. Showing it’s not just the Winchesters that had to make sacrifices.

This was the only happy moment during Swan Song, well in my opinion. I was really happy when Cas came back and healed Dean and revived Bobby :). And it was awesome to see Cas get his wings back too :). I will be adding this to my favorites.

what I love about this show is that they can kill anyone off and just bring them back in the same episode ;) it allows us to remain hopefull even in hopeless situations ;) and more importantly, I love Castiel to death. I'm still a Dean girl, but he's done some stupid things this season and is way too harsh on Cas sometimes. I mean, man, the guy has given everything for you, how about some gratitude?

Seriously though, I love the idea of God or at least and aspect of God making himself mortal to fight along side the heroes as a way of taking responsibility for a situation and not just being a guy waiting for other people to clean up his messes. Also kind of like penance too. He makes part of himself mortal to experience what the heroes are going through so it's fair.

So now Dean has the 4 horsemen's rings, he has the Colt which can kill almost anything, he has Ruby's demon-killing knife, and he knows how to trap and exorcise demons. If he's still hunting by the time he gets to Bobby's age, not too much is going to scare him. He has also gotten better at researching on his own without Sam.

@DarkZeroFX I think so b/c when Cas came back the first time he couldnt heal bobby without the powers of heaven. Now he can revive the dead. On top of that he went back to heaven to restore order That suggest to me a very big propmotion in power level.

Its not sure that cas got ressurected by God the first time. it his hinted in the episode where the girl Joe and her mom dies in the convinient store when they trye to kill the devil with the colt. That Lucifcer says that "how are you so sure its god that brought you back?" but this time it was God for sure :P

Now that I think about it, it probably would’ve been better to see Cas as god who just gave up his powers n memories to be a regular Angel to see how his creations would fare without him. I mean just think about how many times he’s been resurrected and said it was God.

"New and improved" The writers had to retcon that power up real quick, because if Cass had been improved in a way that mattered at all, the show would've been over there.

@TermiteAssassin1 Yeah, it looks like that Cas is now taking charge up in Heaven, probably why God brought him back more powerful and improved than before. Cas was the one angel who did the right thing and deserved to be resurrected multiple times! I'm glad to hear that Cas will at least be back for the premiere of season 6!
