I love Ben and Dean fics. One of my favorites taking place 10 years after season 9 had them remeet in a tavern run by Garth with Ben not remembering him but idolizing him as he was a hunter too. Dean ended up taking him on his partner but the truth came out when they visited Lisa. They got their memories back and Dean learned that Ben was his son and ran out on them again. They later met again on another hunt and Dean nearly let himself die because he felt he had nothing left to live for when Ben convinced him he did in Ben. They became an official father-son team after that.

Also, when Dean went off in the direction of the bouncy house, that ginger woman in the green sighed. Something about that must be a sign. It's one thing for her and her companion to talk about a one night stand which apparently didn't mean anything, but to sigh, it obviously had some outcome or else the lady in green wouldn't have sighed. Id imagion she would have continued talking about Dean. Again, just my thoughts.

A fic I've been following taking place after Swan Song has Ben play a big part in Dean's life after hunting: due to taking Ben and his friend Errol to the park one day Dean becomes the neighborhood babysitter and has a lot of misadventures as a result. Ben is shown to really be attached to him and so ends up being Errol too. In the latest chapter Dean barely survived an assassination attempt by an angel (who he killed single-handedly in a fight) and when he woke up he found Ben and Errol had refused to leave his side while he was out sleeping on the bed with him. It really touched him they did that and Inias (who was a friend there) told him that the two really loved him with Ben seeing him as his father. During the story it was said Dean saw him as his son too.

This whole damn scene is 1 of the funniest in the entire series! And there's a shit ton of funny scenes so that's saying something! From Dean at the door to the gossip girls convo and flirting, Deans hysterical realization and her awkwardness when he asks... It's all GOLD 🥇! It's all also obvious that Ben is absolutely 1000 percent Dean's son.
