It really is incredible just how much chemistry and history Bobby and Ellen convey in like 10 minutes of screen time, I could honestly believe they could have been a great couple for the show.

Oh god I can't wait for 6x20 tho. There are some easter eggs in this episode like the logo of the beer the guy from the first scene is drinking, it has an iceberg on it, also the E.J. Smith travel because Edward John Smith was the captain of the Titanic, the production on this show is always so smart and careful on the details :)

I felt so bad for you before i even started watching. Ellen and Joe were two of my favorite part time characters and their deaths killed me the first time around. But amazing reaction as always and yes, this show does that to the fans alot

I have like, one main quibble about this episode. Okay, one little part in it, really. When Atrapos was trying to kill the guys that first time in the kitchen, there's NO way it should have worked like that. Gas that's used in kitchens (and most home and commercial uses as far as I know) has an additive to give it a noticeable smell. You know what they add to it? Sulfur! What is one of the main scents that these guys have basically trained themselves to notice? SULFUR! With the concentration of gas in that kitchen that's no way they shouldn't have noticed it! Other than that, I thought it was a great episode. And I loved all the little clues that things were "different" somehow, like them driving around in a Mustang. (Which, by the way, Erik Kripke had originally considered having them drive until a friend of his who was into classic cars suggested the '67 Impala instead.) And yeah, it was nice to see Ellen again, even if only briefly. And sad to see her go again.

Divhreaza yeh, as awesome as they are in setting out details and Easter eggs in the series...there are sadly times where they HAVE to overlook such a detail for the sake of the script and story Look at iron man for example...in the first film...after the escape...crash landing into the sand dune like that...and survives...? The mark2 suit onwards with the higher tech, and implied “inertial compensators” etc is fair enough But that first one build in the cave...yeah no...but you overlook because MOVIE...
