Here's something that's not well known that I was hoping you would mention. The game has some sort of copy protection that is apparently triggered by using save states. If you load a save state on the world circuit mode, then the special circuit never unlocks, even with perfect record. That's normally not a problem on a real console, but on the SNES Classic mini (don't know about the NSO version), this means you can't finish the game if you use save states because Nintendo didn't disable that copy protection.

Another fantastic guide! Even though I doubt I'll ever get good enough to really replicate the results, it's always entertaining to watch and get some pointers. If these type of videos had been published and released on VHS tapes in the stores back in the day, kid me would have eaten that stuff up so much! Its still mind-blowing to me that that hidden 2-player code was just hiding there in the code for nearly 3 decades without anyone knowing. It would have made for a banger back in the 90s for sure :/ Also really crazy and sad how the drought between Punch-Out game have now surpassed the one between Super Punch Out and Punch Out Wii. Its sad to see so many great franchises being so neglected for decades :/ If I may recommend another NES game I'dd love for you to cover down the road, I would suggest "Solar Jetman" I've been playing through it again after it was recently added to the Switch's NES catalogue and have been having a blast but I feel the game is packed with hidden secrets and mechanics I'm not aware of and a comprehensive guide that really goes deep into all these little aspects would be so helpful.
